Re: Shoe modification & lacing video
Thanks for making this, I started looking for these shoes the other day but they seem a bit hard to find now

Re: Janis's blog - (un)retired from footbag
Going to take the camera out today, wanted to play earlier in the week but hurt my ankle a little and haven't wanted to push it. Was going to try some of the intermediate LOTD from 2019 but I don't think I'm quite up for that today as I'll probably push a but too hard, I don't think I could do any o...

Re: New Lavers -- modifying & playability -- observations
The new lavers are playable but they are significantly heavier compared with the older version of the shoe which I have found annoying particularly for some multi-dex tricks.

Re: Janis's blog - (un)retired from footbag
Early 30s. Definitely understand where you are coming from with the whole warmup/cooldown thing. I have 1 good session in me a day and need a rather long warmup if I don't want to risk injury. When I'm playing I can play a while but I just can't play more than 1 session in a day anymore and that inc...

Re: Janis's blog - (un)retired from footbag
I have the very heavy ones and there's certain multi-dex tricks I just can't hit that I think I could do with lighter shoes. It took me many months to be able to do all the DATWs in a string, something that I found fairly easy back in the day. That said I'm older so it might just be that too!

Re: Janis's blog - (un)retired from footbag
Been playing fairly regularly this year. Not really doing anything particularly interesting in regards to playing and not especially trying to get better but taking it more as a hobby type of deal. My shoes are almost entirely gone though, might have to get a new pair sometime soon.

Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle
I met up with Dan earlier this year, he hasn't been playing for quite a few years now. I play a bit these days but mostly for fitness rather than trying to push hard. I'd be keen to catch up sometime if you are in Melbourne. Coincidentally I'm also thinking that TATW might be doable soon too, it's b...

Can we take some time to chat about this via video chat? I think there's some really interesting conversations we can have about the technical side of these things.

Re: Limit system load setting turned on
Hey Allan, I do a bunch of development based work and one of the things that I always mention to people is that if your site is mainly WordPress you might be able to create a static site that you then serve (possibly via CDN). If possible this is much lighter on server resources and greatly reduces ...

Re: Janis's blog - (un)retired from footbag
Thinking of playing some more but don't have a suitable pair of shoes or a bag for that matter, not sure what the current state of affairs is with footbag shoes, any advice would be appreciated. Also I've abandoned that footbag project, just seems like there's not enough people that would be involve...

Re: Judging Assist
At one point I was interested in creating an ELO type of rating for footbag moves and links but I didn't think there was enough interest from the community to actually go to the effort of implementing it. Is this something that people are thinking about again? I think that going way beyond simple AD...

Since only diehards use modified, I'm excited to reveal that Bonslaver and I are going to (try) to get together tomorrow and start a new instagram project where we have every main trick on film, in real time and in slow motion, because I think it will generate some interest when people know there's...

Re: Janis's blog - (un)retired from footbag
Did some practice today. Horrifically out of shape. Need to find some professional to discuss my knee with, doesn't hurt a lot but it's fairly weak.
The website is getting to that stage where fairly substantial improvements in usability start to happen, exciting times ahead.

Re: Footbag moves database
Nicknames are already supported in the backend of this. The search functionality is the next big thing I'm working on. Good suggestion regarding just showing all of the components, there's really not that many of them compared to moves. Also just to make it clear what's going on here, community memb...
