Re: North American Freestylers Headcount

Sorry don't mean to drag up an old thread, but is that really it for Canada? Geez. I would have thought the sport would have grown a bit more from when I was active over 10 years ago, and I don't mean that in a pessimistic way. I guess as an underground alternative sport it might not change much as ...

My 2 year check in :)

As the title says, it seems like every 2 years or so I reminisce about footbag and come to say hi to the community, get inspired to kick again but scoff at my inability to string anymore than two butterflys together (at least I think that's the name of the trick I am thinking off -- good god it has ...

I'm Baaaaackkkkk!!! :-D

Greetings friends! After returning for a short time in 2008 (from a 5 year absence), and then once again retiring, I have decided to come back to the game now that it's 2010, for as long as my body will allow me to play for, at least. I guess I really can never leave footbag despite my continual att...

I see. I was using SubSilver but couldn't see anybody's signature actually. It works on some of the other skins though.

Signature doesn't show up

I think there is a rule that we are supposed to have our full names in our signatures, of which I have complied, but my signature never shows up in any of my posts. Is there something I am doing wrong?

If you're practicing by yourself it can be. In a circle I find there is generally more standing than playing and therefore I don't think it quite cuts it for 'cardio'.

I think there are a few others who kick in Edmonton, but I may be wrong... Did you check the footbag.org club listing for Edmonton?

I don't know if it really matters as much as people think. I'm sure a well stitched 12 panel bag of the same size, weight, material, and filler as the standard 32 panels today would play just fine. Once when I was decent I played with a 12 panel bag and found it worked pretty good. Ultimately it's g...

Glad to see you playing again Jeff  If I am ever in the Vancouver area I'll be sure to bring my footbag gear and have a session with you guys. Sounds like the start of something good out there :!: edit: On another note, I still remember visiting the Kelowna Footbag Club website way back in the...

I didn't respond to the last thread because I was slightly confused with the context of what would potentially take place. At any rate, I am indifferent as to what forum is used, so long as we do have a forum to discuss the sport. It would make sense to have the more popular forum directly on footba...

Thanks Shredzilla, but you've convinced me to not buy them! I already bought one pair of lavers that were a size to large, so I'd rather not purchase a second pair and have them turn out to be not quite what I'm looking for all over again. I didn't think about the fact that the corduroy would ...

Striped Rod Lavers?

Hi, There have probably been topics regarding these shoes before, but I was unable to find any... I am curious how people have found the striped Rod Lavers to be, as I see the outer material is slightly different than the traditional mesh Rod Lavers. Are the shoes thicker in general? They look to be...

Jeff Lopes was one of my favorite players, thanks for sending me the PM Erik (sorry I didn't get it until now). I still haven't done anything about ordering Lavers and a bag, but I will definitely get on that shortly. Depending on where I am with things in my life I may or may not make it out to Hac...

During my first year of high school, way back in fall of 1999, I started to make friends with a cool group of guys who happened to play hacky sack a lot in their spare time (Jamie Lloyd being one of them, for those who might know him). We all kicked together every day at lunch for our entire freshma...
