Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle
School holidays are coming to a close. I've just done a fairly large roadtrip with my sister and our kids between us (5 in total). Have been back home for a couple of days. I've been getting in some decent kicking time in these last couple of days. https://twitter.com/capitaleyes/status/184414020578...

Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle
I got up early and did some footbag in the gym today. I was going for that 20 x 20 - 20 rounds of 20+ contact strings. My personal rules on this are that each trick can just be done twice in a row, although I'm fairly lenient - eg butterfly and ss butterfly are unique tricks for this. I end up doing...

Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle
I started writing a big long response to this but my computer decided to just crash midway through. You can see the full playlist from Jakub M from Poland - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQQJSwCtZeY&list=PL3T-CkvL4YW7Xmk_aGZzKPON7LuymlEaf&pp=iAQB There were also some various clips on Instagram (a ...

Re: Jorden's Journal
Last trick looks very similar to those blind back kicks a lot of the jianzi players do, though they are not in the air while doing it (guess some have probably done it while in the air). Looks like a fun session, lots of California Games inspiration. I've been doing some of these combos like the out...

Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle
I just turned 40 yesterday. https://twitter.com/capitaleyes/status/1833405452677484911 I always try and do a however many contact run of my age pretty much straight away, though I missed the day yesterday. I will write a bit more on that 40 stuff another day. Good to get a little kick in. I have bee...
Re: Mathieu
I think 4.5 is as good as I have done on rubberman as well. Tricky to keep the energy flow going. Haven't tried it in a while, should come back to that.
Re: Mathieu
Superball is always in Czech - sometimes it's in Liberec (where they had it this year, I think they have a really good relationship with the city and get various venues for free).

I forgot to mention in my last post, we had an international guest in Australia. Tom KO from Chicago came out so I ended up being able to take a day off and head up to Sydney. He also kicked with Dyalan a different time. We had a go...

Re: The Footbag Macro SOLUTIONS Thread
I think this is a good thread. Glad to see you back kicking and posting. I'm just going to respond to things one by one, with my general thoughts on them. Incentive to train - There needs to be more competitions in general. This will make the big competitions better because people are training for t...

Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle
It's been some months since I've written in here. A few interesting things to report. Worlds and Superball. Didn't go to either, would have been cool. It was good to see a pretty good spread of international turnout at either one. Not huge amounts of competitors but it's nice to see some European pl...
Re: Mathieu
Congrats on that upcoming news!
There are a few guys that post regularly on Twitter and Instagram and they keep improving a lot. There is also a mega freestyle football scene in Japan.

Re: Mathieu
Excellent job organising - it looked like there was a good spread from around the world. Looked like it was very hot which would have made things challenging.
Worlds in Japan would be great, it should be done some day for sure.

Oh this looks very interesting. Like the gamification, kinda like Duolingo style. This looks like it could be pretty cool.

Re: Cass shreds - Spring Training 2024
That's a really good turnout - hope Josh is recovering well. Ripstein BSOS should get props from anybody! I think to play on grass sometimes is fine (much better on the joints) and that golf course surface means it is not very long grass.

Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle
Nice to see you posting Cass! I think Dustin is a fair bit younger, maybe still early 30s. Funny thing in that thread is it showing a super strong Aussie scene (not quite there now). I think I've decided not to come this year, hopefully next year I can go to a footbag tournament, not necessarily Wor...

That's so good! Lot of legends in there. I remember reading about you meeting Ryan in the streets while out on the drink. Great to see Lise and Verena in amongst the action.

Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle
I didn't realise it had been so many months since my last post.
I've been playing a fair bit. I had pretty much committed to going to Worlds but now I'm thinking against it. The time cost is my main concern. It's a long way to fly to Montreal.
