I have the silver(grey)/red pair from zappos.
I too found that they had subtle differences but I didn't study them as much as Reid has.
I was just planning out how I was gonna go about modding them and noticed differences.

@mc C-Fan asked of that footbag you posted on the topic: http://www.modified.in/footbag/viewtopi ... 350#464350

If you can stitch that then you may have a customer.

I am also curious as to how well it will hold up.
I think it looks pretty dead-on as a possible material.

I think the smartest move would be to incorporate what makes a good footbag shoe into a pre-existing design in order to gain revenue.

At this stage I agree that it would be an unwise move to make an exclusive shoe just for footbag because it will be overpriced and unavailable e.g. nucleus.

Shoe Question

So, I finally got me some Lavers!!!! Now, I have some questions. I'm not planning on heavily modding them until the get older because I just can't bring myself to harm these pristine shoes. I understand so many people swear by these, but they seem hard to play with. Because of the mesh I have to put...

You can definitely find something as fine as you're wanting at a local craft store. Whenever I checked at Pat Catan's and Marshall's craft store they didn't have enough fine filler in size that was economic enough. They either had a lot of airsoft bb or slightly smaller filler or a little of fine as...

I found this one day when searching about for fillers, but never tried it: http://www.save-on-crafts.com/beanbagfil8o.html
It really isn't bad at all.
I think you could make a nice hybrid.

I found an amazing substance called 303 high tech fabric guard which I will be investing in a bottle of. It apparently makes any fabric incredible. It repels water like a champ, repels the soiling of fabrics, increases stain release characteristics, is UV resistant, extends the life of vinyl, and do...

Scotch Guard/Stain Repellent

I just ordered some Lavers and I was wondering if anyone has ever had any success with Scotch Guard or stain repellents on them? Or possibly even footbags for that matter keeping them from fading and being dirty looking.

Where to get filler?

I just have been messing around with simple footbags and I've become interested in starting to make bags for my friends. the only filler I've used so far is light airsoft bb's(which play unpredictably), metal airsoft bb's(which don't play bad but are too big and destroy the material), and black grap...

In my opinion I like the way sand contrasts to other footbags. I just like having one to bust it out every once in a while. I even made a quick little microsuede 4-panel footbag that I filled with black graphite sand that plays so smooth. I see a well made sand footbag outlasting most any kind of me...

Best 4 panel pattern size?

I've just been guessing on my 4 panel pattern sizes and they're gradually getting bigger, but I just want to know like the size used for the Mr. Sandbag footbag. I just made a sand footbag yesterday and I'm actually pleased with it, it's just too small.
