Re: SKB

Thanks, Ken.

Just want to call and say hello, it's been too long. Incidentally, hello to you, too!

SKB

Is Stephen Barnes... alive? I would message him directly, but I can't remember what his username is.

Thanks.

Re: RCS IN DA CLUB

Who wants play Hacky Sack? I don't have shoes, but I have about a dozen facile 32 panel bags (in disrepair) from as many different stitchers. Maybe we can play "where the hell did this bag come from?" over a few beers afterwards. I miss you all.

A little clarification: - Rain City Shred is Seattle's primary footbag club that has been in existence for 10-odd years (I can't remember when Alex Zerbe and Jane Jones (at the time) started it). - Paul Burke's primary contribution to footbag was his lunacy. - Paul Burke's only footbag record is the...

I vote for "Lando Calrissian," since Nick is obviously both black and the crooked administrator of Cloud City.

Hey Aaron,
Nice to hang in Portland! Give me a call about kicking in Seattle before you take off to Berlin. Also posting here to remind you about that commission. ;)

Just got back from the US Open last night. I had to leave early, unfortunately, because I had class at 8:30AM today - ended up sleeping over at Meg's house and then catching a bus in the morning. I guess that means I'm still soaked in sweat from kicking yesterday! The event was a blast. It was great...

Freestyle and Artistry

As I'm going to the US Open this weekend, I've resumed playing with Justin and have gotten a good portion of my game back. I'm happy to be getting some exercise again. Throughout the academic year I was having a difficult time balancing cerebral and more physical pursuits. I have a tendency to lapse...

Wow, I drop out of the community for a while, and look what I come back to! This is sweet! I am seriously, seriously excited for whatever comes of this! Also, I don't mean to derail, but has anyone stopped and considered that it might be more important to get better quality people in footbag as oppo...

An Unremarkable Session

I had a session with Justinian and Colclough earlier today. I experimented with mixing Danish Orchards (delicious) preserves into oatmeal prior to that. The results were highly satisfactory. I didn't hit much during the session, so to speak, but was able to access certain parts of my game I haven't ...

Sorry to post something completely unrelated immediately after Red's very cool post, but I had a request for anyone in the Sole Purpose crew: please, someone, hook Jake Wren up with old videos of Vasek (100 Bars comes to mind)! When I saw him at the Seattle jam, I was asking him to try some combos I...

I Go to Join the Halls of Climacoola to Await the Last Shred

I haven't been playing around much with my notion of algorithmic shred, as I haven't been playing a whole hell of a lot. :p However, for the sake of documentation, here is some stuff I have hit semi-recently: 11x blurry whirl 7x blurriest symposium torque symple vortex I'm getting some new shoes (cl...

Hey, I would be down to pick up three or four of the cheaper/more broken in bags. Looking to make some sort of round deal? I'm don't really care which bags. Send me a PM or something. Ideally, I'm interested in the ones you're putting up for around 8-10 dollars. Note that I'm going off the assumptio...

Regarding SJFF

Hey all, This year there will -not- be a Seattle Juggling and Footbag Festival in the traditional sense for a number of reasons. However, in lieu of that, Justin and I are thinking of having a Seattle jam (probably under the moniker of SJFF, for consistency's and tradition's sake) at approximately t...

Miscellany!

I've been absent from the community for a while, due to being out of the country a number of times and lack of enthusiasm with the footbag community. I'm likely to remain preoccupied, and I'm still not that enthused with the footbag community! :) However, there are elements of the footbag community ...
