I second the don't eat before shredding. At our local session on Saturday I ate a $*load of mexican food for lunch and immediately jumped into the circle. Within 10 minutes huge cramps hit and I had to sit it out for another 10 minutes, STUPID! Also, since we're speaking about diets here, s...

Yeah I guess I kind of painted myself into a corner with that comment, as I am a white suburban kid who went to college. The crux of the problem seems to be that it is tempting to categorize music by who typically listens to it rather than what it actually sounds like. Case in point being the COO of...

Dave Matthews Band Phish Dispatch O.A.R. Moe. Gorillaz(have some trippy ass songs) Jack Johnson Weezer Sublime all those bands are great IMO. Ok I am reeeeeeally resisting the urge to flame here. So I will only be mildly mean. Those bands trigger my gag reflex. They are not "Stoner Rock". They are ...

Has anyone put together a definitive footbag acronym dictionary? I was trying to lookup what "PS" meant. This is kind of chunky. I have to do a lot of searches. I wanted to know if there was an acronym list. Even after reading the definition for BSOS here I'm not quite sure what it means. Li'l help ...

Footbaggers in Austin, TX
I am trying to revive the Austin Footbag scene. From what I understand it kind of died out a while ago, possibly even before I moved here. I am finding people and we have set up a regular kicking time of noon to 4pm on Saturdays at Auditorium Shores Park (EDITED, was previously Zilker Park). We are ...

Logan, I think I can sympathize. I can only imagine Baton Rouge has got to be one the worst places to be a footbagger. I've never been there (only Shreveport), but one of my friends at work was born and raised there, and absolutely hates it. He calls Louisiana "Lowsy-anna". He only goes back to BR w...

Kyuss - Thee Ol' Boozeroony is a great instrumental, really heavy. good melody. Dude if you like that kind of stuff, you gotta check out the Atomic Bitchwax. On their first couple discs, about half the songs are instrumentals. They have this one song "The Formula" which is an amazing 10 minute inst...

You neglected to mention Kyuss, and subsequently Queens of the Stone Age, a pioneer of the artform. Yeah I have a few discs by each of those bands, never really got into either of them. Alternately the site has a mirror at http://www.fuzzrock.com Besides Mondo Generator, anything else you recommend?

Stoner rock?
OK I don't smoke the cheeb (or do any drugs), but I do love Stoner Rock, also known as "Fuzz Rock" or "Cosmic Doom". http://www.stonerrock.com/ Lo-fi, psychedelic hard rock and heavy metal. There's lots of bands that fall under this genre (see the website) but my favorites are Clutch, Fu Manchu, Mon...

but you fucking child molesting preists look out, in the far fetched case that i get diagnosed with some kind of terminal life ending disease (knock on wood) im going boondock saints on your ass. I'm remembering this line for the next time someone F's with me. "I'm gonna go boondock saints on your ...
cool, thanks for the info guys. small and heavy isn't exactly what i had in mind. perhaps an abshire or a carol is what to go for if you want a bigger, lighter bag that has enough beads to stay round. still, i'll think about investing in a trevorr hibbs bag. thanks. Cody, what's up man! If you come...

In my highschool we thought we invented the flying butterfly, or "super jester" or whatever you call it. That move was at the limit of our imaginations. We didn't think there was anything else you could do with a footbag so we did em over and over. If only the internet was around when I was 15. I t...

Thanks for the feedback dudes. Hit my first real Osis today. I had hit it before a few times before but it always felt like I was bulls***ing it. This time it just felt right. The fact that I had a routine really allowed me to be introspective and analytical when I was working on my new tricks. I sp...

Footbag training regimen?
Hi All, this is my first post on modified. I have been a casual "hackysacker"on and off for about 14 years. I found footbag.org about seven months ago and started teaching myself Freestyle (only trick before that was the "jester"). I started getting really serious about Freestyle 2 months ago and my...
