Re: To The Stars - AdAstra's Footblog
Hi, Austin. Welcome to modified. No idea how to make ankles more flexible, but Damian had messed up his ankle and he made it into BAP, so you might want to ask him. With clippers, what's usually getting better when you practice them is the strength of muscles that pull the ankles towards your body, ...

Re: ~MetZelRio~ GTG is inspiring better shred
Guiltless is always good. Tripless is kinda boring anyway, it usually means no toe tricks (unless your name is Derek)
Happy birthday, sir!

Re: Footbag pentathlon
Like the idea of pentathlon. Request is missing, but I'd like a different one, the Freestyle Football one, where the rounds are a bit vague. So a round could for example be: 10 Unique Guiltless or 5 two dex tricks. Obviously, an ideal pentathlon would be Sick 1, Sick 2, Sick 3, Sick 4 and Sick 5. Th...

Re: Competition Survey
SOLUTION: take a nod from similar sports and use trick categories. Category A would be all the safest most common tricks (kicks - toe, in, knee. stalls - toe, in, clipper). Then B, C, D, E with E being high-risk, high innovation and/or high complexity. There could also be subcategories like A1, A2,...
Re: Fanzine: Worlds 2015 writeup
Nice write up. I was reading that last part eating a kanelsnegle
Re: MAC's
Can anyone tell me what the problem with worlds was? Anywho Paradon!! Evan's routine was amazing, possibly even the best, and he shouldn't have taken 4th place and everyone except the judges agree. But everyone also kinda agreed with the judges after they presented the scoring. It's just subjective...

Re: Kyle Cook Footblog
Huge progress, Torques are definitely a crowd pleaser. Would be cool to see some Spinal Taps :) Always nice to see people promoting freestyle. I find that people are more likely to stay and watch if you have a clean and funky style and smile a lot. Like if there was a circle with Dexter, Lotus and N...

Re: Czech This
There are three things in footbag that if I ever know the answer, my life will be complete 1) What is the definition of Pdx? Double hip motion? No, there's nothing like that in Pdx Eggbeater or Pdx Illusion. Far Dex bailed to another surface? Works for almost everything, except for Far Rev Whirls, w...

Always cool to see longer videos. Don't be afraid to use 2 ADDs when getting back into the game. Tiltless is a magical land of long strings and feeling of control.

Re: Quantum/Slapping
Great post! I love to read your advice on Mirage! Solid Mirages Firstly, by solid I don't mean consistent, although the two terms are somewhat related. Solid downtime will help you with saving a tricks after a bad set, hitting huge tricks and generally feeling more 'decisive' while shuffling. If yo...

 Nobody got inducted into BAP. This one came as a bit of a surprise when I read it just now, so looked at http://bigaddposse.com/ to see when the last time it was that no one was inducted. Funfact: The last time no player was inducted into BAP was 1994! It was said that the level of BAP indu...

Re: Footbag Analytics
I disagree that uniques and unique components have no place in the density round, I believe they should just be secondary information to things like ratio and link difficulty. Someone might hit 10 nemesis back-to-back. Very hard link, very high ratio, very tough to do, but it still only shows high ...

Re: Video Blog ~MetZelRio~
I'm with Mathieu. If you can do Tiltless with an occasional 3 ADD with flawless form and nice style, I'd rather watch you play than most fearless players. If you never sacrifice good form for faster progress, you'll never have to 'fix' your style. I've been trying to fix my style for half a year and...

Re: Footbag Analytics
One thing I forgot to mention, I do like uniqueness as a measure in Variety a lot, but it has no place in Density rounds. To paraphrase: 2. Density: In the density phase, players are compared in terms of the overall link difficulty across all the moves they execute during their run (as defined in 50...

Re: Footbag Analytics
This doesn't take links into consideration. Links are often more important in evaluating the difficulty of a run than tricks themselves. Also style. Now there is no direct mention of style in the official rules for Circle, but there is a mention of difficulty, which is previously defined as a combin...

Re: -=Silencer=-
Main word in judging had Aleksi from what Dominik told me. If you hit multiple tricks, the easier ones will be taken into consideration if the judges are undecided between your best and someone else's best one. On paper, Vašek, with video, Vašek every time. Due to execution, form and style. Why Vaše...

Re: Bag care and cleaning
Room temperature water, liquid hand soap. Let the water in, then very slowly and carefully squeeze the water out. Do that until the water from the bag isn't black anymore.
Some people just throw them in a washing machine along their clothes, I can't recommend it though.
