Re: Kankeri Japan
Well, looks like Routine results have been sent out. Surprised to seem some of the people that scratched. Unfortunate that I didn't make it through, but am not too upset; I went in to Worlds without any goal really other than to compete. So far, I have managed to submit for all events (Sick 3, Routi...

Re: Kankeri Japan
Have been kicking regularly. That means at least twice a week. However, for about the 3-4 weeks leading up to Worlds, I have been kicking about 4 times a week. It feels great. Just wanted to pop in here to say that today I managed to record a safety routine and sick 3. That is a relief. They are not...
Re: Pixie drifter
I also still have no plan for routines at all. I think it's even odds I scratch. That'd be awful, since this is one of my clearest paths to finals in 20 years, but I also can't see how I'm gonna get a 2 minute routine filmed in the next week either. Same here (about the lack of a plan). I have like...
Re: Fanzine
I wish it was no news good news in your last post, but seems more like no news, some good news and some bad news. I can confirm I am in the same boat; not prepped, less motivated, less prepared than last year. I didn't come up with good goals this time, and I reckon that is one reason. The pools hav...

Re: 2021 IFPA World Championships Online
Going to register in a few days, once payday hits.
For shred 30, if I do both stepping op clippers and both drifters, are those all counted as uniques? I get confused with this.

Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle
I played today, did a bit towards Worlds. The shred off qualifying section has begun - you just go for 30 seconds. Thanks for the reminder! Gotta get this going! I'm not sure what I will do either. I'm thinking one longish run and then a few shorter and higher intense ones. Nice run. I like the hom...

Re: Kankeri Japan
The days keep moving, and prep for worlds seems to be happening slower and slower. At least I haven't set any goals so won't be disappointed. I am just happy to be able to compete even at this ripe age. 13 July 2021  PLO x8 with good form, then x4, then x6  fairy op legover x 4 first t...

Re: 2021 Footbag Events
Thanks! Yeah they did a drawing based on everyone who managed to hit all of the combos, and my name was picked! I'll have to get a video with the bag the first time I use it. It is on its way to me as we speak.

Re: Kankeri Japan
Had another kick yesterday. Fun stuff. It feels great to kick everyday. I have been trying to focus on different things each day, to mix it up. I also brought my shred30 from 2017 Worlds, to start thinking about that. Don't like the combos so will have to work it out differently. 7 July 2021 ...

Re: Kankeri Japan
Great stuff. You seem to be playing pretty frequently. Nice highlights! Thanks, Erik. I play about 2 days a week, pretty religiously. I took a week off last week, or maybe the week before to see if it would help my lower back stop hurting. Marginal returns, so Ima just not stretch it for a little w...

Re: Starting over
I feel like for a normal drifter from clipper set you need to set it fairly accurately to go across your body to the opposite cross-body position, whereas with pdx I just set it straight up. I think there may be different schools of thought on this. I think Ales believed that you should always be s...

Nice, Ken! That is impressive. I suppose I'm pointing out the elephant in the room, but I suppose all that is left to do is grab Doc and Marty, and find last year's Ken...

Re: Starting over
I think that kind of practice is SO beneficial. I was doing something similar recently. I like the atomic toe stuff; it is a tricky combo to remember what comes next. ... makes it feel more natural to have set dense runs. I agree. Having strong sets makes more difficult tricks/combos so much easier ...

Re: Kankeri Japan
However, the videos have replaced much posting in here. They have also meant that I haven't been taking notes as much. Yeah, me too, but I've been enjoying your videos on YouTube! Thanks! They are slowly adding up, which is great to see. Also like you mentioned somewhere else, the videos are a grea...
Re: Fanzine
Were you there for TSG #1? I think you were there around 2003, so I imagine that checks out. It'd be up there with one of the longest running comps these days. That is a great question. Actually, I think Ken started the entire scene in Japan, is that correct? Crazy that it is one of the longest run...

Re: Kankeri Japan
It seems that the colder months are now settling in here. Among other things, that means rain, rain, rain. Luckily I have indoor spots, so not that big of a deal. That being said, there is nothing like kicking outside. 13 May 2021  outside kick > spinning osis bsos  symple gyro clipper...

Re: Kankeri Japan
Yeah, I got enough for 5 in the request. Had a few off the foot for both sided but I reckon I can get them in coming days. There was some good combos to try out there. Nice. It might take me a little while to get all bs, and slightly longer for bsos Typing that last sentence led to a typo which was...

Haha, not only did you beat me to announcing this here, but you also did so in the more appropriate place. Nice work.
