Re: Kankeri Japan
Nice one on the torquescrew, the drifter/vortex combos I imagine are pretty smooth too. Great you're playing pretty regularly. Thanks Daniel. Yeah I'm glad I get to play as much as I do. I would like to have more time to kick...once classes finish in a couple months I should have a couple months of...

Re: Kankeri Japan
Thanks Erik, things are fine; nothing I can't deal with. :) Over the last month I have played fairly consistently, about twice a week. Last week I think I only found the time to play once though. Yesterday I kicked in the gymnasium while the volleyball team was practicing. It's great to exercise aro...

Re: Kankeri Japan
That's great news! As I think I mentioned, I would try to avoid the hot months, so maybe July, August, September. It is so hot and humid here that it is not fun travelling around.
When were you thinking of coming? Where would you likely visit?

Re: Kankeri Japan
So I still haven't gotten to editing that footage...but have been playing about 2 times a week. I think last week I played 3 times (2 days in a row), and this week so far I have played twice. I won't kick today but will likely kick tomorrow. The 5 English teachers that make up my department are curr...

Re: Kankeri Japan
24 dynos?? :O I think I've done the dyno > far dyno drill before, and I was super happy with that, lol. 24 is insane! Would love to see recent footage of you. I may have got the number wrong, but I think it is somewhere around there...but could have been 14? Ha. Thanks for the footage request. It h...
Re: Muffinman
FOOTBAG My footbag tricks spreadsheet tells me that my record is 7 on one side and 6 on the other. I did have that in mind a bit today when we were playing, but I was struggling to hit anything today. A couple drill-y things that I hit today though were: -spinning clipper > ripwalk > gyro clipper >...

Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle
Another beauty combo! Can you do either of those tricks on your other side? I'm indifferent about the X rebrand. I'm not on Twitter so don't really care. To be honest though, I do admire Elon for spending his time doing the things he loves most. At least I think he loves everything he is doing... ED...
Re: Muffinman
Erik you have my favorite footbag face out of everyone I think. Looking forward to seeing more of it.

Re: Kankeri Japan
I wanna go to Japan too! 10 days sound right. Could be a honey moon possibility as well. Yes I am getting married. I am also high jacking your footblog. Sorry about that. I really like this little thang here - gyro mirage > pixie muted op clip x2 And Dyno x15 is crazy. Oh shit! Asmus attack! Marria...

Re: Kankeri Japan
Great stuff! Dyno x15 is a lot!! Blender > pdx blender would be sick! Thanks! blender > pdx blender is a cool combo. I have been practicing blenders more so sooner than later should be hitting that combo (more) regularly. For visiting Japan, we'd probably come for 1 week minimum, maaybbe push it to...

Re: Muffinman
I love hearing that you have been kicking. Great! Also good to hear you got yelled at for that ripwalk. You are like that mouse that gets shocked when eating cheese, but keeps going back for more...

Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle
Good run, that first trick was huge! Yeah I wish I could go to World's too...more generally speaking but also this year as well. As it turns out, I feel like in the near future I won't be able to attend, what with family and jobs and whatnot. Once things get settled down I would like to be able to h...

Re: Kankeri Japan
Congrats on the successful presentation! The travel sounds fun. We still plan to visit Japan for our honeymoon some day, but it's already been 3 years since our wedding -- flights are so expensive now! Bullet trains look insane! Thanks! Yes travel is fun for sure, although with a child it is ...
Re: Mathieu
I have!! And also have a shred partner. But we struggle to have more then 1 sess a week due to out of control reasons. James is back in action!! Yay! Great to hear you are kicking, and that you have a shred buddy! Those make a world of difference. I have been on and off in winter but back to 1-3 se...

Re: Cass shreds - USO 2023
I read it too! Great write up Cass, probably the most in-depth write up since Ken stopped posting here. So happy to hear you are still kicking. I miss footbag events. There are some in Japan, but with a smallish baby to manage, I don't have much of a social life just yet. Regarding your knee, it sou...
Re: Muffinman
That is great news! You can 'officially' Footbag again! Hoping for the best Erik. Don't push too hard! I definitely know how hard it is not to just bust big tricks after a long break.

Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle
Your shred is looking really good. Is that one of the benefits of COVID?
A 1-hour session is indeed a proper session. I remember talking with Honza years ago and he said when he kicks solo he goes hard for like 40 minutes, then stops.

Re: Kankeri Japan
Kumamoto was a success, although traveling with a baby is hard work. My presentation went well, and got to network a bit which was nice. It was really hot there, and even Maya was complaining, which is rare. We had a bunch of good food, saw Kumamoto castle, and got gifts for people. Yesterday I had ...
