Re: I train a lot, but I do not see improvement
Take a video of your most inconsistent tricks/components and post it up on here. If you can use slow motion when you edit the footage and have a real speed then slowed down speed of these tricks this is even better. Bad form/technique can hold you back enormously and fixing and form issues can help ...

Re: A database of every trick hit on video
If Janis can come up with a better system, I'd be all for that, although I definitely want to maintain something on .org. It probably wouldn't be hard to to integrate something with .org, although it depends a lot on whether particular people let us, or tell us to wait until the update, which is wh...

Re: A database of every trick hit on video
Basically I really like what Jeremy is trying to accomplish here with this and I think that by using some ideas from software engineering we can make this task of creating and maintaining such a list a lot easier. I've arranged some webspace and I'm going to open source any code I write on a github ...

Re: Prices for Freestyle Bags
I think that if people are really interested in utility maximization then the minimum price idea is a really good one. I know that when I was a student and had very little money that it was hard to afford prices for footbags and other things. For a while I had a well paying job and all of a sudden f...

Re: A database of every trick hit on video
I've been thinking about this a lot and I've started to do the technical design for the backend. Hopefully I can get enough time to put this together (it won't be a small undertaking to make this in a way that doesn't suck). Once the backend is past the proof-of-concept stage I'll post again. Someth...

I might be heading into Toronto a bit more often in a few months time if a job comes through for me.

Re: APA- American Poolplayers Association- Anyone?
How do the skill level rankings work? I used to play a lot of snooker, then I moved to Canada and I've been playing some more pool (snooker doesn't seem popular here). One thing that I do find a bit strange is how the bank shots seem to work on these tables. Have any of you guys played on a snooker ...

Re: Janis's blog - retired from footbag
Thanks Asmus! I just got in from a session and my knee is not hurting! Currently I'm keeping to a very small group of moves that are not so strenuous. I think I'll have to be very diligent about doing the knee exercises and getting stronger before I contemplate doing any of the moves that put pressu...

Re: A database of every trick hit on video
Great idea. A while ago I wrote some code for a footbag trick database back on one of my old websites. Basically the idea was to have a catalogue of tricks with videos and links to relevant pages for trick tips with the goal of having it all be searchable. I'll see if I can find that code and if the...

Re:
So I've been doing some research on stuff with my knee and I'm pretty sure I know what the problem is now. I did an injury to my vastus medialis and a couple other muscles a while ago with a rock climbing accident and that pretty much knocked me out of the game for a long time. As time went on that ...

Looks like I made a mistake with the PM
I'm flying out on Friday, can catch up for a kick Today (wednseday) and Thursday.
I'll try resending the PM. I'll give you a call in a minute.
