Top 5 footbaggers in the world!

Post by Jeremy » 28 Apr 2005 08:10

What do you think? In order - make the tough descisions!!

This is what I think:

Vasek (obviously)
Felix (we need more footage)
Jorden (insanity)
Honza (also need more footage - also go to the doctor and get your knee fixed, even if it takes 6 months of rehab)
Lon (Amazing)

You must mean top 5 "Freestylers" in the world, cause if it was footbaggers, youd need to have manu at the top and PT somewhere on the list.

I don't know, overall I suspect Vasek would score more net points than manu would get freestyle points in an overall. . .

Of course I mean freestyle. This is a freestyle forum isn't it.

For sure there needs to be more footage of Felix on the net - but he's too modest damn his modesty...

Jorden is good for sure too - and infact all the top 5 - 10 players are awesome. You have to make a decision anyway!

Here's my list

Vasek
Lon
Jorden
Honza

I can't really rate Felix since we don't have enough footage of him. :(

Are we talking about who we like to see the most, or who's actually "better"?

Like to see -
1) Lon
2) Vasek
3) Jim
4) Jorden
5) Honza

"Best" -
1) Vasek
2) Jorden
3) Lon
and a tie between Honzxa and Jim

I agree with Allan being on there, he's the man.

Ales definitely shouldn't be on that list anymore. He kicked ass a couple years ago, but now he's huge and not anywhere near as good at freestyle as he was in the past. He's way more into bodybuilding now than footbag.

Mine would probably be something like:
Vasek
Jim
Felix
Honza
Allan

It's a tough call, really.

Thanks for the mentions guys :D You're nuts, but I'll take the compliment.

I think Peter Irish is still the best in the World, followed closely by Lon, then Jorden. Vasek doesn't count (*this* world) and everyone else is on the 'too close to call' level :)

Besides, everyone has their days.

- Allan

PS I put Peter on that plateau mostly and simply because I've *heard* (or not heard) Pete play. The silence is pure Zen on a level not matched by anyone else yet.

Tough call but...

-Vasek
-Lon
-Jorden
-Pete
-Felix

- I'm looking forward to when listing the top 5 / 10 will be much harder than it is now.

Edit :: Not to say you're wrong...heck...you're wrong...Ales used to be up there, but not anymore. He's too big to be consistant and pull those insane combos and then some like he used to. He still though, is one of my favorite players.

it's pretty tough to narrow it down to 5 but if I could it would be:

vasek
penske
jorden
lon
honza

*my mind will change in 5 minutes and again after another 5 minutes and again............................

Flash Gordon. There are probably lots of criteria one could consider to determine who's best, but Flash is practically the only shredder I really like to watch right now, his style is about the only one that is pleasing to my eyes, and I haven't even watched and examined enough to even put into words why that is, but for my money he's numero uno. Maybe Sticky Ricky. His style is also really cool to see. Again, haven't seen enough or examined it in detail yet. Its simply an impressionist point of view. I know what I like when I see it and to me those guys look much better than just about anyone else.
