How to Beat Jorden in a Competitive Event
I'm looking for advice on how to whoop Jorden's ass in competition at the Chicago NYJ. Advice for any event will do. If anybody has some good advice, please drop it here. If you don't help me, I have absolutely NO CHANCE at beating him in ANYTHING, and even if you do help me, I STILL HAVE NO CHANCE. I'm rooting for Suderman! Suderman for Class President '05/'06 What?
My name: Jeremy Mirken, AKA Chocolatey Shatner, AKA jerk enemy rim.
I kick it with trunk chef elf and liz luck key my.

How are your Shred30s? Personally, I think your best shot at beating Jorden in particular, is in Sick Trick. But Shred30 could also be a possibility. Shred30 is objective, so its easier to beat Jorden than in routines, where his popularity naturally helps him (since its a subjective event).
While I haven't seen your routines or Shred30s in a while, I also think that a weaker player has better chances against a stronger player in Shred30 than in Routines. 2 minutes is long enough that a strong player is less likely to make mistakes (and can make up for mistakes) than a weak player. Shred30 on the other hand, is more equal. If a strong player makes a mistake in Shred30, the penalties are much harsher, and its harder to recover (2 drops in the first 20 seconds of a routine sucks, but you can recover. In Shred30, it will kill you). If you get lucky and hit your planned Shred30, and the other player makes a mistake or two, then you win.
At Worlds, the top 6 finishes in the first 2 rounds of Shred scored over 200 pts. I scored 195 and 193 in those rounds, and in finals scored 196. But in finals, only 3 people scored over 200, so I ended up with 4th. Do I think I am the 4th best Shred30 player in the world? No. But my practice made me consistent, and I got a little lucky, so I ended up beating a lot of really good players.
Good luck Jeremy!

If Johnny hits his shred 30 dropless I don't see a sweep happening.

All the events were originally supposed to be (according to my brain) very exhibitional and not judged very seriously. It has kinda snowballed into more serious stuff though with prizes galore for multiple places (probably). There is no shred 30 planned, but we could set it up.
My idea of exhibitional/not-judged events goes this way:
"Everyone knows who they liked best, and they know who they like second best, etc. Who are the judges to rank? At the same time, this is a JAM not a tourny. There is no pressure, ur just showing ur skills not competing."
BUT, there is something to be said about the drive and accomplishment of competition that many as well as myself feel. SO we are judging. Me, myself - I'm just going up there to show off some cool shit with no intentions of winning, because (this time around) I'm not competing (just showcasing).
SO, you can try to beat him @ 4-square. It is the great equalizer. You may also beat him at the SICKs cuz ur game is pretty sick. Or rippin run. You may also consider 1st as taken, and vie for second.

considering what jordan did in the "cool trick" contest in seattle competing against even some great jugglers, I wouldnt expect to beat him in any "sick trick" contest.
how to beat jordan? i was gonna say bring Lon Smith or Jim Penske, and maybe you'll beat him.
best of luck, you'll need it.
