Footbag Video Game
Footbag Video Game
Edit: V2 now available
This is a freestyle footbag game that I've worked on for the last month in visual basic. You can do an abundance of freestyle moves in this game with its free-form styled platform. Hope you enjoy it, and feel free to post feedback.
Download Footbag Game v2 Here
Instructions: To pick up the bag, hold a basic trick key and move the guy's foot behind the bag to pick it up.

Since filefront's recent re-modeling, you shouldn't have to download any plug-ins to use filefront. Or if you'd like I can try sending it to you via email, just send me your email addy in a pm.Pete wrote:can it be mirrored somewhere else that doesnt make me download 20diffrent plugins plz???!

Good concept, and please don't be insulted but the play control is impossible to manage. I know you probably took a great deal of time to create the game in vbasic but I'm really struggling with it. Just to hit basic kicks and such there are like 14 different keys. If you could simplify the controls it would be a lot easier. Also, the footbag shows up as black on my screen, the same color as the guy's shirt, so I can't keep my eye on it.
Looking forward to seeing later improved revisions.

V2 is now available! See the updated link in the first post.
Got to thinking about this game yesterday and how much it could be improved. V2 basically reflects actual freestyle footbag, instead of just the couple tricks that i knew a few months back. With drastically simplified controls and a slow motion mode, tripple dexes are now easy to master. You can even pull off the Nemesis in slow motion!
Updates Include-
*Much better controls! - yay
-The stall key is gone, to stall simply hold the trick key down
-Shooter type W, A, D movement
-Keys are laid out for easy access to toes, clippers and all the leg dexes.
*Four game speeds to practice tricks in, as well as match your processors output.
*Leg dexes have been completely revamped. Now your actually completing a dex instead of just spinning your leg is circles.
*The jump animation has been simplified to reflect freestyle's style of lifting the body.
*A general shift away from kicking with the emphasis placed on delays.

argh! i'm left handed. make the controls changable. i want to control with arrows or ijkl. make the tricks wasd. i'll be waiting for version 3.
btw: with the control change, i would get in this game so fucking much!
ps: add poiints? or a tutorial mode? ex: get this combo: 1 atw, 1 clipper stall and 1 jester. ya know? that would rock!
