hack music

Post by crazy guy with no feet » 25 May 2002 16:32

hey guys
just curious as to what seems to be the more popular music to hack to
I always thought it was trance and house. But all those eliss piltz videos (and overground) all have stuff like punk and reggae.

I like Ska alot for shredding, but only just a lil' more than I like trance and house. So, at our tourny, there will be a healthy mix of what everyone wants ;)

I really liked the music from The Lion's Den. It worked out really well.

For ska I'll typically pop in MY band, the Lost Doggs and shred to that. For punk.... I like compilations a lot. Anyways... it's late. g2g buhbye

I have one of DJ Shadow's CDs (preemptive strike), but I think they should put some Fatboy Slim in a video or two. Watching someone shredd to Weapon of Choice, Funk Soul Brother, or Love Island would be cool.

I'm with you EC, Britney is the bomb as well as corny dance remixes (which I didn't see as a poll option BTW) :)

I never listen to music. Brad used to put on some Led zeppelin or Tool, but then he like lost his cd player.

yeah. we don't seem to hack to music anymore at hackrifice. One day, these "soccer net" players (sorta like tenis with a soccer ball) came to the club and started playing. They're really loud and we wouldn't be able to listen to music over their noise.

We never have music either. We never think to use batteries (so used to using a plug in). It's so much better with music though, like you have more flow.

rap doesn't suck (this is my opinion)... it's a different form of improv. like jazz was in the early 20's and stuff... rap was in the 80's... now it's what i like to call "glamour rap", where the little bow wow's of the world take over... now that rap sucks... but old school tupac and dre and snoop was good.

I reacon that the music you like you will shred well too, so long as it's not like opera or something.
Even classical has been used for shreding (even routines) so the posibilities are endless. So long as the music puts you in the mood you need to shred (adreniline, relaxed, determined, angry, horny... whatever rings your bells!)

Hell, Anssi listens to folk music and look at him! Surely almost any music is good for shreding then right? ;)
