Hey all!
I was hoping we could start a thread where all players will contribute a piece of advice they find most helpful for the sport. A concise statement from a bunch of different players might be a great resource for new players.

Cool idea! I'll bite.
My advice would be to strengthen your core. Keeping the core tight and practising good posture can go a long way.

Make time for anybody who shows interest. We were all beginners once.

Learn basic kicks very well, and learn to use them to keep the bag in the air for extended periods of time (like, 15 or 30 minute long rallies).

Learn proper form as early as possible, Its harder to correct later if you can "get by" with what you're doing now.

If you're having trouble with linking your Drifters into Stepping set, jump into your Drifters sooner. Make it feel almost like a Quantum/Stepping set (for Toe/Near, respectively), only you plant the setting leg first. Adjust the set height to compensate for the decreased trick time length.
I hate bad form and I'm a hypocrite.

Try to carry a bag with you all the time. Make use of short periods of time where you have the chance to play (doesn't matter if you have the right equipment etc).

I would say to not obsess over a single trick or link for an entire session if you are having significant trouble. Know your limits and what you can and cannot hit in a reasonable amount of time. Obviously exceptions include trying to learn a new concept for the first time, however.
