i wanted to get a feel for what religion (or lack there of) people are - i'm a Christian - Catholic to be exact

For those of you who posted that you are "Atheist" I just wanted to know if you are really concrete in your belief that their is no such thing as god. I mean are you as adament that there is no god as Christians/Jews/Muslins are that their is a God.

Why would you put quotes around Atheist? I wouldn't use the word adament. But I am sure in my personal belief that there is no personified cosmological being. I didn't really make the decision to be Atheist, I just cannot make myself believe in something that doesn't exist (of course that's my opinion, I'm not saying you're wrong for believing what you do.) I was raised in a household that made it possible for me to see the difference between a Bible story and fact, which is not always the case.
