this is so insightful; sometimes, after a session of not playing well or getting a slight injury, a cigarette definitely does more psychological good for me than it does physical harm.
because of your dependence to nicotine?

That's because nicotine is a relaxant.
But it does sure feel good.

My PA crew just recently got a new member and he used to smoke, now he is using Blu Cigs, that electronic thing. He says they're great and they do the same thing that cigs did for him, plus it's so much healthier... and you can buy a variety of interchangeable flavors. This sounds like a good alternative to smoking if you absolutely can't seem to kick the habit.

Again, I'm not going from personal experience, seeing that I've never even put a cig near my lips, I'm just going from what our new member (Jeremy) told me about them. Was only trying to suggest a healthier alternative and they seem to work for him. But everyone's different.

To Pasquar:

You may be missing the point or just being too serious. Weak people get addicted to cigarettes and bitch about it to others. Subjective, yes, but what else matters? How could one objectively know that other one is a douche bag?

My next door neighbor, Jackson Raap, smokes cigarettes. He's trying to quit because it's affecting the length of his runs in footbag. He knows that if he doesn't quit soon, it'll be tough to get better at footbag.... So we took his cigs and cut them all in half and I put the cut halves in a plate of syrup to cut his smoking habits down a bit.

Sure, we could have just thrown the cut halves away, but the syrup was a good addition.
