I do nothing to my panels, I see no point. Guide lines tell you how to sew a straight line, great, I can already do that.

Josh are you just trying to get as many posts as possible?
You don't need to reply to every post, especially when it's the same friggin' reply over and over. Just wait it out, people will eventually give their opinion no matter how many time you make the same post.

Dude, if you mean using a stencil (a piece of cardboard or paper that is the size you want your pents and hexs to be that you can trace onto material) then yes, probably all stichers use one of these.

I don't use any guides to sew my bags - I find it pretty easy to sew in a straight line :P When I started sewing I'd take a fairly long time lining up the needle before pushing it through but now I'm much more confident and go for it straight away. Hmm sounds kind of sexual... ;)

It's five stiches. If you can't align a piece of fabric to another and go in-out-in-out-in, and keep the line straight for 8mm, find another hobby.

The makers of flying clipper footbags use all sorts of guides and pre-punched panels and they make crappy bags that self destruct. If you want to make crap, you to should use a guide and prepunch the panels.
