i dont like saffron... i dont feel its as pretty as marmalade... but it is darker. marmalade is like a bright yellow orange and saffron is closer to a burnt orange.

im not sure how durable the two of them are.

I LOVE SAFFRON! 8)

When a bag gets dirty you can definitely judge the degree of hue that both Marmalade and Saffron retain before initial break-in/kicking. When Marmalade gets dirty it turns into a brownish color that's unlike what it was before. Saffron is different. Even when dirty it can still retain much of it's orange-y hue. It's a good, softer replacement to the thick Sunny Sienna.

In fact, both Marmalade and Saffron are somewhat thin and have a moderate break-in. I would say that Marmalade is thinner than the two and is more likely to pill than Saffron.

I think I placed an order for that color, along with Admiral, Splash Blue and Active Green. :) I'll keep in touch with you about it.

Oh, and I ordered some Ultrasuede Soft. They're pretty thick, like a touch more than Spanish Gold (and more tightly manufactured than facile), but if you don't mind Spanish Gold like me it's a pretty good investment. :P I'm going to try experimenting with the colors I've chosen (Neon Lime, Fuschia and Fresh Lime) and make some bags out of them.

Alright, here's what I can say from the batch I bought.

Storm Grey - awesome. A bit darker than Storm and a bit thicker. Less than moderate thickness, still. Looks pretty smooth as well.

Admiral - I like. If I had words for it, it would be a cross between Imperial Blue and Midnight. Pretty vibrant and durable, moderate thickness.

Splash Blue - NICE!!! Anyone who loves the color of Aqua but hates to see it fall apart should invest in this color. It's very good as a turquoise variant, and can definitely be an alternative to the usual Atlantis. Moderate thickness. ACTUAL fabric construction that is really facile-like, in comparison to Aqua.

Active Green - It's about the same as Kelly Green, if not a bit darker. Very good as it is only moderately thick and stiff as a facile (considering Petit Pois as really thick and Dark Jade being really flimsy for green facile). Pretty much the best investment for a good light and "true" green, imo.

It's Stone Gray, not Storm Gray. Don't get me wrong here, I'm not really correcting you, just trying to eliminate confusion.
You both are probably thinking the old Storm color.
I'm glad Splash Blue is a good color.

navajo turquoise is veeerrrry much like splash blue. when you put them beside each other there is not much color difference. they are about the same thickness and stiffness. i bought myself some and its pretty sweet. some people dont like bags made of thicker colors... but navajo is nice.

Navajo Turquoise is thinner than Splash Blue, imo. I just bought some myself and I'm loving it! I would say it's comparable to Marmalade. The performance is super good, but for something strong I suggest Splash Blue.

As for the color contrast between Splash Blue and Navajo Turquoise, there is a slight difference, but not so much that there is much of an impact. There's a reason why Navajo Turquoise is, well, turquoise-y, I guess.

Imperial Blue is a choice color. Pretty thin, imo (like Willow, maybe?). Matt Cross has that color, so you can contact him about it.

Btw, any opinions on the facile that are on special? I'm looking at Dijon, since I need a good, rich yellow. I heard from Clavens that Cedar Berry is good, so I have my eyes on it, but what of Garnet, Henna and Shell? Has anyone bought those colors?

And if anyone bought Garnet and Cedar Berry, PLLLLEEEAASE post a picture of the two with a good camera shot! I can't tell the difference!

PS: Sunny Sienna is SWEET. Very nice replacement for Saffron in terms of choice quality and durability.

i recently got blue hawaii, and for some reason it seemed real thick, thicker than flash red even. this was strange since i searched this color and a couple of posts i read said it was pretty thin. i am pretty positive they didn't send me a similar color of ultrasuede soft or something. also it said on the receipt ultrasuede light. it is a really sweet color though, but i don't want it to make my bags suck.
