make it a weird drawings video contest. like have people post themselves drawing with food, painting while hanging upside down, tagging(legally), drawing with their feet, trimming a lawn into a picture, or some unusual stuff like that. So you could judge by execution, awkwardness, and how the picture/piece actually turns out.

video yourself doing the CRAZIEST footbag move. doesn't have to be high ADD, just crazy enough to make everyone say: OMG!

I really like that idea!

It would be kind of hard to get a lot of entries for it though, how many people would be interested in doing a contest like that?

nah, thats too complicated.

make a contest for self portraits (not a traditional one)

so like for mine for class i did, i drew the inside of my mouth, and had some teeth that were recently extracted... made for a neat drawing.

that way, it could be weird, normal, crappy, whatev. it could be drawn using compy, art supplies, be sculpture, likeness, just anything.

having a video contest will limit your entries to people who have cameras and editing software. you can do whatever contests you want, but im just throwing that out there. video contests are always fun to watch, though. i would personally like to see you keep the contests having to do with footbag... but its your contest, not mine.

definitely. If it doesn't have to do with footbag, it will probably be moved out of this forum. But the video contest is the same as the drawing contest I think. Theres a lot of ppl who probably didn't join because they didn't have the scanners, or other tools to show their art. I know i don't have a scanner so the only way I could show my art is to do it in photoshop. If i didn't have a Wacom tablet, my drawings would suck ass.

maybe go for a text-based contest? describe your BEST day playing footbag in 200 words or less.

Not every contest should be the same boring shit, just because a few people can't enter because of not having a camera dosn't mean that it wouldnt' work. People who don't have artistic talent but are good with film could enter. Just a thunk though....

but....It just seems like it would be very taxing to judge.

I don't think that's possible...not unless it's a kick ass instrumental,

The idea hit me when I was messing around with some bloodbath-esque riffs, and I come up with some lyrics....

I may pursue this song into entirety even if the contest isn't song related.... I think it may be the first death-metal footbag song...

the way I see the text base one working is: you PM your entry to the contest judge and then he makes a new page, after the contest is done with all the entries in 1 post and a poll. NO names or anything that can give out who you are to avoid the popularity contest crap.

footbag poetry would be sweet, and everyone on the forum could post a poem, whereas not everyone has a scaner or video camera. i would definitely enter that competition, and proabbaly win too

anyone else think this is a good idea? ill post a new thread.
