Here's a rough mspaint drawing of the template
Image
I printed out the pent template then carefully ruled the extra lines onto it and cut out the shape that was needed.
Using the template generator you want to make the sides on the pentagon 18 or 19mm. (so they are ~10mm long when the star is cut out. And the hex's 9.5 - 10mm. But this depends on how far from the edge you stitch. If you go really close, probably go with 17-18mm pents and hex's ~ 9.

ps. use 2 stitch so the stars can stretch out into their proper shape
And a really simple way to make templates that last for at least a few bags is to print them onto paper, then apply 5-10 pieces of clear tape onto each side of the paper, then cut it out with sharp scissors.

attempt nr.3! the last 2 bags perform so awesome, so i made one from amaretta and usl. the stars are amaretta. this one feels soooooooooooo super juicy. still the bleedhole area is kind of weird and still it looks like the hexes connect, but they dont really do, dont know... got one more idea, but so far i like this template the best.

Hullao everyone. :)

Here's 8 32s for FREEDOM!!! Footbags. :v

Image
(Disclaimer: Excuse the poor photo quality. My hands were shaky from the excitement of finishing this batch. :P)

Front two are filled with tungsten and steel. The rest are filled with stainless steel. Thanks to Brad Benson for selling me 409 s/s disc filler. :)

Pink and blue 32 and white radiation-pattern 32 are filled to 70+grams, the rest are 66.6grams.

Please support the Genzs and FreedomFootbags by buying your very own Wasabi 32!

I have a super secret project that I'm sewing up right now. It's an "old-school" template that is sure to make your head spin. :D Stay tuned for it!

edit: D.! I love your star bag! I'm totally asking my friend to make a template for me when I get the chance! Sweet work brother! :)

Cheers. I'm making one for Lotus atm, then going to stitch up a special one to donate for your NYJ.
So one lucky US shredder will eventually get one of these for free!

I like that blue orange and green combo.

OH SNAP WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE! 8O

That's right, the super secret project I was suggesting in my previous posts is now complete! I'm bringing the Twisted back baby! :D This is a mini filled with stainless steel, 66.6 grams. Even with steel, the bag feels very floppy and juicy.

Thanks to DubleDex here on modified for providing his retired Twisted bag for me to dissect, and dolercoaster of NYFA (w00t!) for crafting the plexiglas template for me. I can't thank you guys enough. :)

I'm going to probably need the template to be a little bigger, but so far I feel that this mini template works (I have another that is much smaller).

Also, kudos to Bart-man of "Kick In The Grass" for crafting such a unique template. It was fun working on it, like Louis Rinowski did a couple of years back. :) Cheers!

Oh my... That is unbeleivable! Kudo's for making the mini twisted a reality.
Everyone's going to want one of them. I know i do!
Was it difficult at all to stitch compared to a regular bag?

Well worth sacrificing an old bag to see results like this. It looks incredible and I can't wait to actually get one and kick with it.

Nice work!

With this template, it wasn't hard at all to stitch and there will be times where you need to cut corners with some blind sewing. Otherwise, you just sew straight and use light gather.

Oh Holly. <3 I'm a pimp when making footbags, but unsure when it comes to people. :v :)
