help me, i'm in need of footbag gear

Post by ShredPirate » 13 Jun 2006 23:21

so it's been awhile since i've read modified, and i have no clue what the best bags are, or what shoes are preferred. still in my old beaten up lavers, and mr. sandman.

i need help getting a bag to practice with and some new shoes. i like medium sized bags that are sorta heavy, but not too heavy; and one that i can buy where they are somwhat pre broken-in, if possible.

i'm also interested in getting some size 7.5 black g units. they're so hard to find. anyone know a good place to buy these? price doesn't matter.

thanks for any help or direction that might lead me to find what i'm looking for. peace.

Ooo you are back to represent footbag ey Chris :) that is good news!

Have a talk to old Abshire, i'm sure he can make you whatever kind of bag you want. His bags are generally difficult to break in though, might be better off going for a Toby bag or some other stitcher who's bags break in fast.

Are you sure you want g units? I think lavers would be best for you for toes. I just got g units, and the toe isnt that amazing, but the inside surface is the absolute best. If you are still doing mostly toes, id stick with lavers, but i remember you were doing some more clipper tricks, so maybe g units are the way to go.

A good, almost no break in bag is a mirken 12 panel. Ask him about them.

For the toes, you can always use a stiff glue like fabric glue or some sort of caulking to stiffen up the walls. Just slab some of it on the inside of the walls. I tried it and they haven't bent "inwards" for awhile.

if your doing mostly toe game, climas are the shit. that is, if youve got the cash to throw around.

Yay Chris! Sam and I should be there in a year.

I think you should get a mirkin. We got 2 from him at CSS, they are really good. And I think lavers are the way to go always, because your not investing your money into something you might not like.

that'll be awesome, we can have another shred scene in cali!

as for why i want g units:
toes will always be easier for me to catch than clippers. so trading some toe consistency for clipper consistency will be good for me. i also want to have at least 50% of my game to be from clippers. this will be a big change from my current style, but i still want it that way.

thanks for everyone who replied :)
i should have some new gear soon!
