Hacky Slacker Shoes

Post by sanuke okumatzu » 06 Jun 2007 08:49

So many threads about new shred-shoe finds.. But alas, what about our hacky-slacker brethren. Are they to go without shoes to spend hours a day baked and kicking in? What shoes do you think would make good hacky-sack shoes? Let not our slacky brothers go bare-footed!

these were always my favorites before lavers. I've seen LOTS of more casual kickers using these. They're flat on the toe and inside, and comfortable, and durable. Definitely great hacky sack shoes.

My Vans are pretty good for that. almost as light as lavers. and the toe is great. the inside was a bit wierd but still good to kick it around.

I think most hackyslackers prefer sk8 shoes, vans, airwalks, and all that other jazz. There is definitely a sect who prefer indoor-soccer shoes like Sambas or certain types of Pumas.

I know in my hackyslacker days (like 92-98 ) it was Vans, and Chuck Taylor Converse All-Stars, aka "chucks".

I think now though, if hackyslackers got Lavers instead, they would still be for the best because:
1) lightweight and not bulky, with great kicking surfaces
2) good segue into eventually learning freestyle if they ever wanted to.
3) help support the RL sales to keep it alive for freestylers who need them to stay in production

I wear vans. I'd like to get Lavers, but I'd never buy a pair of shoes without wearing them first.

If you want a footbag shoe to try on go to your local FootLocker and check out the Climacools there.

EDIT:Sorry that was off topic.

The hacky shoes I love to use are my DC Loafers.
