Footbag Drawing Contest #2! Mike Faille is the Winner!

Post by Zac Miley » 07 Jun 2007 09:38

Alright. It seems like most of the people know the rules for the last contest. These are pretty much the same but I'll list them anyhow.

Please read this whole post, it has valuable information in it!

PRIZE: Is a 32 panel. When I finish it I'll take a picture. I'm thinking about doing a second place 12 panel like I did last contest, but we'll see.

RULES:
1. Use any medium you want. MS Paint, free hand, Illustrator, Photoshop, or a mix. It doesn't matter. And yes, you can use Linux programs, Jrstubs. :P
2. You can only have one entry. That one's obvious.
3. The deadline for entries is July 7th. That's when voting starts, and I believe it's the first Saturday of July. Kinda handy since it's exactly a month away. :P
4. I will be picking the top 10, like the last competition. You will then rank the competitors from 1-10, and we will go by a point system. Person with the least amount of points, wins.
5. If you win, please don't take like a billion years to send me your address.
6. SPEND TIME ON THEM. You have an entire month to complete these things. Please use it.
7. Don't draw the same thing as another competitor.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DRAWING

You will be drawing your favorite footbag player, in your favorite style (cartoon, realistic, anime, etc.). Doesn't matter, just pick a style.

Can it be any player from any discipline or is it freestyle only?

Can we pick ourselves?

Will it be ok if I pick 2 obscure players (people no one would probably pick)?
No.

Yes.

Yes.

Only one.

I forgot to say that if there are any questions feel free to ask them. :)
Steps to take in drawing your player:

1. Post which player you'll be drawing in here. No one can do the same player as another person. If someone picks your player before you, too bad. Pick another.
2. They don't have to be the best footbagger in the world, just your favorite.
3. Draw it. Use a reference (good idea) or no reference (bad idea), it doesn't matter.
4. I will list which players have been taken in this post. Please check it before you claim your player.

Thanks to everyone who takes their time to enter this contest!

Also, feel free to talk about the contest/anything you want in here. I don't want it to fall into the Bags and Equipment depths in the next month.

PLAYERS TAKEN:
1. David Clavens
2. Matt Cross
3. Yves Kreil
4. Jim Penske
5. Tom Mosher
6. Jorden Moir
7. Johnny Suderman
8. Peter Irish
9. Mitko Dimitrov
10. Freddy Noinaj
11. Jon Schneider
12. Felix Zenger
13. Vasek

Is there a minimum /maximum size limit to the image we submit?

Can it be any player from any discipline or is it freestyle only?

Can we pick ourselves?

Will it be ok if I pick 2 obscure players (people no one would probably pick)?

Zac, a suggestion, if I may...

what about personally inviting some of the other Modified artists to enter. This subforum may not be something they regularly browse so they may not be aware of this at all.

What will the prize be? Another 32 panel? Bragging rights?
