HD Video Camera

Post by C-Fan » 09 Jun 2014 09:10

Does anybody have any recommendations for a nice HD camera under $350? There were some other old threads on modified, but I want current advice based on what's available now.

The requirements I'm looking for are:

 Shoots HD
 Shoots fast motions well
 Ideally shoots OK in indoor light
 Tripod mount
 Under $350 ideally
 Be nice if it has a screen on the camera, so I can check during a session if I'm framing shots correctly.

Any suggestions?

I'm no expert but I did work at Blacks photo for a few years. I've been rocking a pretty solid panasonic point and shoot for video - I've had it nearly three years and it still works awesome. Given that I would probably go with something along the lines of this:

Talk to Mikie Etlinger. He is an Expert. Cameras and editing is his actual job.

Thanks for the input Cass and Asmus. I'll feel out Mikie and see what he suggests.
