I got some rod lavers today! I was at the mall and Footlocker is having an awesome sell! (atleast in CA) Origionailly rods are $59 there, but it was buy one, get one free! i got two pairs for the price of one! well just spreading the good news if you need shoes! :lol: :lol:

If you do it right the modded leather can be lighter than the modded mesh. Dont worry....

Not necessarily lighter or thinner or anything better at all, but still playable.
Just be careful with that cloth, it tears a lot easier.

Safest thing to do would be take them back and get mesh. Even though you can mod leather, it is easy to make a mistake and ruin your shoe (mod means to cut out the outside leather btw) and to be honest... it will look ridiculous.
Mesh isnt so bad because you cut out the inside layer, but leather u cut the outside :s.

Some people say leather is better than mesh when you mod them.

when I used to kick with lavers, i much preferred using modded leathers over modded canvas. They definitely felt a lot lighter (never weighed them out though) and they last a hella long time
