Thanks  I'm shure we're gonna shred a lot at next Worlds! I don't have any copy of this interview though. This guy said that he'll call me, and say when it's going to be shown, but he didn't. Too bad :(

Crazy day today! I went to a market square on Zielińskiego street today, to buy some sandals. When I was walking around, looking for them I suddenly saw...

Image

:D I thought "What the hell!" and bought them. They cost me only 200 złotych, which is cheaper then getting Rod Lavers from World Footbag. When I got gome I modded them instantly. I cut out the plastic from insides and outsides revealing a ultra thin layer of a net made from some soft material. It's full of holes, so it's basicaly like nothings there :D I laced them up a little differentely, and cut this little thing that was on the toe box out. Now I just need to sew a piece of something on the toe area to form a box.

I played with them today and they are really good! The sole is much better, Symposium tricks are much easier then in Lavers, they're also lighter so it's easier to dex. I hit a new link in them:

Pdx Blender > Barfly

And also some other stuff, like PS Whirl > Whirl (rpt) or Blurry Whirl > Blurry Drifter close to BSOS :)

I'm going to prepare my routine tommorow, because I'm going to a tournament on Saturday. One of the best things in Polish footbag scene is that there are so many tournaments! :D

Good session today, I played in Lavers again, because I don't want to go to this tournament in shoes that I'm not used to playing in :) Hit some new stuff:

Blurry Whirl > Whirl (rpt)
Food Processor > Blurry Whirl
a long genuine run with just Whirls, Pdx Whirls, Drifters, Pdx Drifters, Barfly and Symp. Whirl

I was close to Alpine Blurry Whirl > Mullet and Food Processor > Whirlwind. I think I could hit those links after some schooling.

Alpine Whirlygig

:D Nice trick, and it wasn't even so hard. I think I could hit it in a competition if I schooled it a little. I also footed a nice Sick3: Spikehammer > Phoenix > Alpine Blurry Whirl :) Oh, I also footed Alpine Blurry Drifter - I'll try to hit it tommorow. We were preparing a Doubles Routine with my friend Adam, and I can say that things look very promising. We did that basic toe shuffle for 3 minutes dropless, and hit some other good tricks that I won't spoil  We need to plan out routine and it's going to be great!

I also worked on my Shred30. It seems I can beat my previous record if I hit it dropless or with 1 drop.

Pozdrawiam

Hey Mosher, it was really awesome to meet you too, I still remember that first try Cripwalk - straight in my face :D But your facile didn't last for long, we ran out of it before leaving Talinn :( But shure it was swell!

Really good session today, it was short and I mainly tried new stuff. Here are the results:

Alpine Blurry Drifter
Alpine Foot Processor
Torch-R-Rack

Blurry Whirl x8
PS Whirl x6

Blurry Whirl > Stepping Whirl BSOS

I also footed a really nice drill: Blurry Whirl > Blurry Drifter (rpt). Maybe on next session. Tommorow we're painting our training place, so it looks like no shred for me till Friday? Saturday? :(

Thanks Riku :) Today's sesion was pretty nice, I didn't hit anything new, but I came close to Furious Drifter :) That trick will be mine someday  I tried some Weaving stuff, and hit Weaving Clipper on both sides, I think I could incorporate it to my strings. Also got about 10 contacts of Spinning Clipper > Gyro Clipper (rpt) drill.

Me and Adam hit Stepping Inspinning ss Eggbeater :) In Doubles of course

I made my first footbag today :D I tried to make a 32 panel one yesterday, but just when I was about to finish, it started to rip everywhere, so I gave up. But from the fabric that was left I managed to cut small panels for a 14 panel bag and succesfully sew it! :D It's about the size of hm... well about 2 centimeters - really small. I didn't fill it too, because I didn't have any filler  Maybe I'll attach it to my keys, or my pencil case.

I'll try to get some more fabric, and I'll make a sweet 32 panel bag :D

I want to hit Tap Dance. And Blender > Scorpion's Tail. And Furious Drifter. And some other stuff, it's good that I'm going to play tommorow. :)

Tap Dance = Pixie ss Original Tap

Invented and executed by Michal "Cod" Biarda from Poland :)

Toe > Same In (DEX) >> Same Out (DEX) > Same In (DEX) > Op Toe (DEL)

Tap Dance by Cod

I just finished making my second bag! It's totally sweet :D It's blue and orange, and I love it :) I wonder if the fabric will break in, because now it's a little too stiff. I hope it will. Making bags is such a cool thing. I'll try to make a photo and upload it here.

New stuff from today's shred:

Janiwalker > Blurry Drifter > run
PS Eggbeater
Pdx DLO bsos (I'm really proud of it, because Pdx DLO is pretty hard for me)
Torque bsos and Pdx Torque in a run (same as above)

In one of my runs I also hit a cool feeling link: Pdx Whirl > Pdx Eggbeater > Pixie Whirl. I'm trying to hit more Torques, and stuff like this. Next shred session tommorow.

Really impressive stuff Szymon!

Are you playing in those climas that you bought?

Glad to hear you are discovering how fun stitching can be too, it's really quite fun.

hehe you can use my super secret panel cutting method if you want, I won't make you pay even though I have copywriten it.

I love your amazing control that you have when you play, you're pleasant to watch.

I think you should push yourself to hit as many genuine links as possible because you clearly have enough control to do so.

Keep being amazing!

cheers

Thanks a lot Tom! Stitching rocks! Well, besides the moments when your bag busts a seam, which my second bag was doing for the whole day  I just need to get a stronger thread.

I don't play in those Climas anymore. I think I could, but I guess I've been playing in Lavers for too long, and don't want to spend the time on getting used to them. But they're still really nice shoes, and I can wear them anytime, and shred :D

I thought about using your secret method, but I don't have those things to hold the panels, so I'm just cutting them like a normal person :P

I'm trying to play genuine, but it's pretty hard. Although when I see Gordon Bevier shred I know that it's worth it :D New stuff from today:

Whirlygig > Mullet (my first beastly combo :D )
Pdx Torque > Pdx Blender
Janiwalker > Blurry Drifter > Blurry Whirl
Blurry Whirl > PS Whirl BSOS & Blurry Drifter in a string

I was going for Backside Bedwetter, but didn't hit it. I may put PS Eggbeater in a Sick3 combo, like Food Processor > PS Whirl > PS Eggbeater would be nice :) I think I'm going to stitch something now :D

We had a session in Strzelin today, it was really nice, even though my shred wasn't so good :) . I hit a combo with Drifter > Spinning Clipper (rpt) and Pdx Whirl > Spinning Clipper (rpt). I also tried Janiwalker > Whirlygig > PS Eggbeater, but dropped the bag on the last trick.

After shredding we went to a stone mine, that was about 20 km away from Strzelin, and then we swimmed in there (it's an old mine, and it's mostly filled with water, so you can swim), it was really nice! :)

I need to hit more varied links, and Blenders :) Maybe I'll work on it tommorow.

Good session today. New stuff:

run with Whirlygig BS and Mullet, dropped Whirlwind
Torque > Torquescrew
Spinning Osis > Pdx Eggbeater midstring (really nice feeling link)
run with Swirl BS, Whirling Swirl and Far Swirl
Pdx Whirl > Pdx Drifter > Blender

Very nice session today, my shred felt really controlled and slow, the way I like it most. Here are the highlights:

Foot Processor BSOS
run with Blurriest and Scorpion's Tail BSOS (it was the first time I hit flip Scorpion's Tail :D )
Swirl > Rev. Swirl > Whirl > Symp. Whirl > Whirling Swirl > run
Nuclear ss Mirage > Quantum Butterfly > run

My Torques are finally starting to be easy :) Same thing with Blenders, I think it's because I've been schooling Osis a lot (well, that's quite obvious :) ). I was really close to Whirlygig > Foot Processor, but didn't hit it. Same with Triage - footed 2 times :) I think I'll hit it soon, it's a really nice trick.

Good session, my runs were not going well, so I decided to try some new stuff. Here are the highlights:

Pixie Paradon > Blurry Whirl, Blurriest > Blurry Whirl, and other side Blurry Whirl > Blurriest in one run
Phoenix > Blurry Whirl > Blurry Whirl > Spinning Pdx Whirl > PS Whirl > PS Whirl
Ripped Warrior > Ripped Warrior
Spikehammer > Phoenix > Blurry Whirl > Blurry Whirl > PS Whirl
PS Whirl > Spinning Pdx Whirl > Scorpion's Tail

Triage :D

I hope my legs won't be killing me tommorow (Czech Footbag Championships). It's going to be great!
