Re: Tales of MetZelRio *INJURED*
Not gonna lie, every time I scroll down your page, I laugh out loud at the "MY BODY IS READY" picture! I love it with all my heart. Kudos for that post, btw. Hilarious.
Thanks for suggesting a streamed live drill session. I felt bad at first because I didn't see you online and you were the one that requested it, but I saw you after a few minutes, so I was glad you were there. That was fun, thanks for sitting in on it and suggesting I do it.. If you ever need tips, just tell me to do a USTREAM and I'll give you tips like that. That would probably be the most beneficial way of tipping through the internet.
How's your injury doing? Hope it's healing up well. And Also, cool to read that you want to be the student this time around. I'll admit, I had my time of not wanting to be the student (as much as I should have, at least). My teacher, Bob Reifer, would tell me to do a few drills for my "homework" after every session, but I would only do them a little bit or not at all :/ I was also a doofus. But it's all good for both of us, everyone gets a second chance to become a student if they give it to themselves. Glad you gave it to yourself. Also, I'd love to hear exactly what it was that made you want to come back to modified. Whatever it was, I'm thankful for it. You're a cool part of the community right now.

It made me feel like I'm really a part of the community that you were looking for me to be at your live stream. And I am so glad I contributed to your game.
Injury: Undisclosed. I can neither confirm nor deny. Classified.
What made me want to come back:
Someone from my past asked me to join a juggling group online. I decided to break out my juggling equipment. WOAH, there is my footbag... I think I'll check out some current footbag videos on youtube. What I saw:

I knew 2 of the players, Jay and Johnny. But who are the other guys, I wonder. Let me check modified to see if I can figure out who they are. Got sucked into reading. got sucked into watching more vids.
decided I wanted to try to kind of come back SEMI-anonymous. Since I was SOOOO out of practice, I wanted to start all over from the absolute basics and You Nick Polini helped me with that right away.
Reading more, I was scrolling through the subjects I saw events in GRAND RAPIDS MICHIGAN... WHAT THE ACTUAL HECK!?!!?!? I STRAIGHT UP kicked serious footbag for YEARS next to Grand Rapids and WOULD HAVE GAVE MY FLIPPIN BUTT to have someone to shred with for EVER. So I moved one hundred miles away, and now THERE ARE FRICKIN footbaggers in GRAND RAPIDS?!!!!!!??? So I went. Just happened to be greeted by one of the guys in the above video (to my shocking surprise) Everyone was so nice. I mean EVERYONE.
Thats how I came back, and that Jam is what Accelerated my excitement.

again, I'm afriad so.

Seemingly irrelevant post:
I was stranded in Grand rapids for 3 days. relevance of post shall be manifested.

As for my kids, Sabastian is about to get ten alternating consecutive toe, and Genesis has done the toe swap once or twice. She's three.

Glad to see you're back dude. Agreed, great form. You're going to get good this time around. Also, you should do a tandem blog with your son or post his highlights. He should definitely get involved with the community too!

Asmus, yeah, her name is furious paradox whirl aka, Genesis, but she wasn't named after the trick, but after the book.
Nick, I started filming Sabastians sessions today so we both can submit our progress.
To you both, my self esteem is raised by your comments on my form. +1 to you both, I'm gonna go give those posts props!

Nice job, Sebastian! You've got form like ya Fatha's
great job with that goal though! Always a good milestone! You're on your way! Looking forward to keeping up with your progress. Don't give up on yourself, even if it gets frustrating! Your mind is the only thing that will ever hold you back from hitting what you want to hit. Just believe in yourself. You can do anything you set your mind to... It just takes some good practice

Re: Tales of MetZelRio ~The Triumpant Return~
DAMN.
Dude, you're getting good in a hurry. The 3 ADD tricks came to you like common sense. That was great to see. It would be great to meet you at PSU Jamps this year (April 4-6) or something. Your game is really looking great. Maybe you and your son can come out. The rest of Michigan will be going too so you might be able to make a little caravan to it.
Keep it up!

Re: Tales of MetZelRio *Nick Said "DAMN"
I would very much like to come to Jamps. I'll keep that option in my mind. For now, I'm just basking in the reality that I humbly know I'm getting so much better at footbag this time around and as a testament to my improvement, Nick said "DAMN"

Here is my legover drills. Posting this is kind of embarrassing...
Yet at the same time, it shows me I have great potential if I would lose a few hundred pounds.

Re: Tales of MetZelRio: ~Legover Drills Vid Posted~
NICE!!! Dude, keep drilling and posting videos. Your videos are really cool to watch because in each one, you show some bigger tricks that came from working on your smaller tricks, as well as your smaller tricks all linked together. It's really great to see it like that. Congrats man!
However, you're KILLING me with your hand catches! Your hand catches are controlled, so it's not like you HAD to catch… just keep going! String like the wind! I think you will surprise yourself at your freestyle strings now, just let your legs move and don't drop the bag! Don't even worry about bailing to a toe stall or something. Lon Smith once said that he got so good because he learned to avoid dropping, and he did this by KEEPING THE BAG GOING. It didn't' matter if he kicked it, toe stalled, inside stalled… he just did whatever he could to not let the bag drop. Try this.
