Thanks, Daniel.

I tried to play footbag last Thursday. In attendance were Nis and Kim. We needed to get together. The Rippen (RIP) passing and corona getting serious again. It was good to see the boys.

Unfortunately, I twisted my ankle a couple of weeks ago and had to walk around on it for hours. It was my own drunken fault.
But the ankle starting hurting pretty quickly and I had to stop after 30 minutes or so.
Hopefully it will be better next time.

I updated my newsletter / blog again. The link is here: https://asmushelms.substack.com/

My monthly newsletter/blog post is out. This time it contains everything from a book recommendation, a woman having sex with an alien, comic book pages, and a guy making a dish while wearing a lot of gold chains.
It is not safe for work but hopefully, you are all enjoying your holidays.

Love the TPP. Definitely getting Francis Bacon vibes from it.

Bummer about the ankle injury. I rolled mine in early October and was completely out for almost 3 months. Here's hoping yours heals up faster.

Definitely some Francis Bacon influence there.

I think the ankle is good now. Definitely took over a month and a half. Unfortunately, the weather and the corona situation in Denmark makes footbag impossible at the moment.

Here is to a better footbag year and a better year in general.

Nice! Definitely going to check out that podcast. I recently stumbled upon People's Party with Talib Kweli, so I've been enjoying a few of those. I'm not very deep into the scene, but it's great hearing about some of my favorite artists and learning a bit more about those that I've heard of but haven't explored.

Love your art too. I've always been a fan but I don't think I've ever mentioned it to you. One of my favorite things about the footbag community is the diversity of other hobbies/interests/skills that players share.

Hey Mike! Thanks for the feedback and nice words. I also really like the Talib Kweli podcast.

Open Mike Eagle also has a really good podcast called "What Had Happened Was". This season is about El-P and the first episode came out today. I think you will like that one.

As I have spent the past month working on the final project of my bachelor’s degree, I haven’t had time to do other cool shit, so there will be no “Upload / Download / Offload” this month. But instead, I am starting a new series where I ask my creative friends what they are working on and excited about at the moment.
I am very happy that Peter Irish agreed to be the first artist in this new series. Peter is a true legend.

Cool new project, and great first edition. He's doing some very interesting work across the board these days.

Saw the post, that's a rad concept! I look forward to future instalments! What's your specialization in your degree? It's an art degree I assume? I majored in painting, but it was because I was hoping that they would teach me how to paint. No such luck. Almost majored in graphic design but they forced us to use Macs, lol. Drawing was easily my favourite since that's what I'm most into anyway.

Thanks! I am really happy with it too. You are very welcome to do an instalment as well. I have a feeling I am gonna feature a lot of artsy/creative footbaggers.

It's a BA in Visual Communication with focus on interactive design. So somewhere in between art and tech. I have mainly focused on motion design / animation while doing it. I hope to mix my drawing / illustration skills with digital storytelling now and in the future.

This month's newsletter/blog post is out. This time it contains more fictional characters, a commission, and some travel photos. It also contains a Kickstarter for a documentary and an art show I wish I could go to.

I caught parts of the Worlds broadcast. It looked great. Gonna watch it all in the coming days.
I also bought a pair of shorts so footbag, so hopefully, I will make my glorious (read: long overdue and probably embarrassing) return to footbag soon.

I recently released a new zine and I've been thinking about a way to get my two little books and this zine to my international fan in a way that won't ruin anybody. So my question is, would you peeps be interested in a digital bundle of the two books and the zine as high-quality pdfs with a few extras thrown in there? I am thinking it should cost 100 DKK which is 16 USD.
Let me know. Thanks.

Not surprised that you would. Coming from rock/punk/diy culture and being a writer yourself. Happy you liked it.

I played footbag yesterday. You can read about it here: https://modified.in/asmus/2021/09/24/one-year-later/
