The thing about not jumping is not only to prevent loosing time, but also to prevent spending too much energy on a trick that shouldn't be that exhausting. Wich, in a long term, can prevent some injuries... Nick said the key is to do not bring your knee to high. I slightly differe from him has i say it's to do not jump. But yah briging the knee suuuuuper high is useless too.
Nice man i hope you'll hit all your challenges :O! They seems awsome!!

OK so I have been trying to not jump as much, and it makes everything SO much easier! Thanks for the pointers, guys!
Yesterday:
Last night I had an awesome session with Conrad! We kicked for about 2 hours and 15 minutes. The only down side was some homeless kid approached us and would not stop talking. I finally decided just to ignore him and keep shredding. He was pretty out there.
Conrad hit a lot of crazy stuff. It is nice to see him improve a ton every time we shred. The best part about shredding with him is watching him do tricks that I can't figure out, like Illusions. I asked him to hit a couple and I noticed he never jumped with his supporting leg. I tried it and pretty much got it first try. From then on it was cake. I could hit
Both sides:
Illusion
Clipper Illusion
Paradox Illusion
Stepping Illusion
Stepping paradox Illusion
Thanks C-ManBill! PS Nice new avatar.
Here is a quick vid of the night:

Once I had Illusions I was so excited that I didn't really make a lot of effort to drill drifters. I will get those later. I need to get pixies and illusions down first.
Today:
I am visiting my parents house right now, recording and shredding. Hopefully I can hit something fun. I am pretty tired, though. Be back later!

Had a couple of small sessions yesterday. One in the backyard of my parent's house, and one at my 2nd shift at work. My parent's house wasn't anything too exciting, just drilling illusions and flip whirls/clippers. The shift at work was strictly clippers, osis, clipper wraps, and nailing clipper sweet spots in different locations. I am super tired from 5 or less hours of sleep two days in a row. Looking forward to time off =)

I will try out your drill, Zach. Thanks for the tip! Narwhal bacon? On Tuesdays?
My wife just ordered a pair of Rod Lavers I am truly shocked. She doesn't know about my footblog or youtube channel. I am kind of embarrassed at what she might think when she finds it, haha. Whatever. She is bugging me for a BrianBear bag, but I am going to have her start on a sandmaster. Hopefully she will fall in love with it, that would be incredible.
Rest day today. My back is acting up from throwing bags.
Working on a tutorial vid for Ken. I'll be back later.

Drunk post:
Drills. I need drills. Right now my besty drill is:
Butterfly>whirl>paradox illusion>rpt
Time to search for a drills thread. If there isn't one, there damn well should be.
Tomorrow is another 15 hour shift. 7:30 am - Midnight. I will get a LOT of shredding in =)
Thinking about getting blue and yellow lavers while they are on sale for $34. Tempting.

Thank you for that! I've only looked briefly at it, due to some unexpected family issues that came up, but I really appreciate your help. I'll try and use your tips this weekend and see what I can produce.worldbound wrote:Working on a tutorial vid for Ken.
As for drills, here are some:
BOP drill: osis-pdx mirage-ss butterfly rpt. Great for warmups, and also helps foundation. Count contacts and see how many you can get.
osis-ss butterfly rpt. Sounds simple, but forces you to get your osis tight and controlled. Again, count your contacts and see if you can break this every couple sessions.
whirl-ducking clipper rpt
whirl-dlo-ss butterfly rpt.

Thanks for those drills, Ken! I am already having fun drilling them in my mind while running flights =)
I finally found a song to use for the headcam footage at Vegas Jam. It is only a 3 minute song, and I have 15 minutes of good footage. Time to optimize!
Ordered a pair of Blue and Yellow Lavers, that makes pair number 6. I should be good for the next few years.
Time to get back to editing. I will update later today.
