Canadian Cass is way too intimidated by my mentioning of freedom. Oh, what the heck, one more!

Footbag.
Yesterday was session! I had one solid string which I am proud of. It was not captured on video (of course :P) but consisted of lots BOPs and was well-controlled. Other than that, I did lots of whirls, a few pixies, and a few stepping tricks! The video titled, "August Kick" in the "PSU Weekly Shred" thread in Videos has it. It is also on April's blog.

Highlights:
-Midstring Magellan (new)
-Pixie Pickup > PLO (new)
-Whirl BSOS
-Ripwalk BSOS
-Strong Blur (New!)
-Footed symple solesis
-Strong side reverse swirl (New)

I prefer a more subdued, maple syrup slathered brand of freedom myself.

You must call me sir...

I mean… You must call me, sir ;)

We have things to discus :P

Oh jokes.

Hit me up, I want to talk to you about the new video. I mist say, I was impressed! Your strings are so much longer and more dense. You're basically full-on tiltless now. Very surprised at ow good your Pixies looked. Can't wait to shred with you at ECFC! Also, I'm thinking I CAN do that Misfits show with you at State College. We'll talk about that too.

I'll call youz or youz call me after 6 tomorrow (Tuesday).

Ken: I have tried a few times. Nick just gave me some advice but other than that, stepping is super hard for me. Hopefully I can get it done by East Coasts and show you in a circle!

Cass: I take that as blasphemy.

Nick: I talked to ya on the talky box. The pdx mirage help mas made me rethink it completely. Thank ya thank ya.

Hi!
I just sessioned. It was wonderful.
Today was my last day of college. I finished up my collegiate career with two final exams. I am not worried about the outcomes because I had decent grades going into them. In fact, for the first class, the professor is going to strike the lowest of all our exam scores. This made the exam option in the sense that I was trying to beat my lowest score with no penalty. The second exam was cumulative and a bit harder but I was doing better in it anyway. To celebrate my freedom from Penn State, PSFC had a session! April, Ryan, and I all attended.

It was a fun fun fun session. April was on fire! She started the session with something new and then did that something new on the weak side. I won't give anything away; you'll have to read her blog in a bit! Ryan kicked very well as well and seemed like he was having lots of fun as well.... then he murdered his water bottle. He was sad but the optimist in me noted that now he has a big, funky cup.

My kicking was pretty okay. I had some fun strings early in the session, before Ryan came, and then kept them short but interesting. I did some pixie work and got a few BSOS whirls. Today was not a good day for my flip whirls but if I keep practicing them, I will own them. I am not too optimistic of fairies. I cannot do them. On the flipside, pixies are getting easier. I did some cool things with the softball-sized 14 panel showbag I made which made me feel pretty good. One final thing, I attempted osis bronze. I haven't sent it in but if I get it back saying I passed Ianek's approval, I shall post!

Also sent this out to Nathan B. today for Hot Links: Osis.

Highlights:
-Magellan > dimwalk (New, strong only)
-Dimwalk BSOS (becoming easier and easier)
-Magellan > Smear (new, strong only)
-Whirl BSOS
-Footed toe diving toe BS (I have never even attempted diving before)
-Refraction > Osis rpt (I will be submitting this to Ianek momentarily)
-Weak spinning toe (Almost ready for clipper!)
-Spinning clipper on strong is becoming easier
-College graduate.

Commmmon fairy is easy.. just do Pickup backwards ;)

Okay actually fairy is a bitch and you're probably gonna have to just keep trying until you figure it out. Maybe getting help in person will be better.

Congrats on finishing college! Those are some good feels.

That's a nice moose. Is it true that moose in Canada are like cows in India?

Also, I finally got a badge!
I like refractions and osis. This badge suits me. Hopefully, I can refine other osis-based tricks. I think I can add far osis BS to this but not dyno, blender, or torque. I cannot hit any of the last three.

That pig could probably take him. He's been lifting weights since high school because everyone called him “Porky McSnorts-a-lot,” and sometimes lashes out against his loved ones. They've tried time and time again to get him help but he just throws it back in their faces. The truth is, he knows how far he has strayed from the swine he once was. The cycle of anger leading to poor choices leading to shame leading to anger, etc. is damaging him with a type of snowball effect.

Enough about that fat, disgusting pig. I kicked today! April, Ryan, Khoa, and I kicked in front of Pollock Dining Commons again. Aside from the bugs, it was a great session! I managed to film an attempt at another Bronze badge (I won't give it away) and finally filmed for Nick's funny trick competition. I was cautious about entering this comp because April and I both made the prizes for it. The bag I made is a sexy 14 panel with spikes and April made a crazily designed 32 with spikes. I wouldn't mind winning April's but if I were to get second, I would definitely disqualify myself. I can make an exact copy of that bag, so what's the point of winning it? I do not expect to win especially since it was something I thought up on the spot and immediately filmed with April and Ryan's help.

Sooo, the session was awesome! April is killing it with fairies and also managed to get a sweet milestone with pixies! I did a few cool things with pixies, myself. First off, I managed to hit Magellan B2B, which I never have done before and, in the same string, BSOS'd it! The first thought in my head was, “Two milestones in one string, wow!” Now I just need to hit Magellan B2B on weak side. A little earlier in the session, I hit three pixie tricks, two of which were smear > PLO on strong, then a PLO (?) on weak, in one string. Shortly after that, I went on a tear with pixies! One string in particular was full tiltless (no one add bails) with I don't even know how many pixie tricks BS. It wasn't really a shuffle but I never hit so many in one string before or even out of that many tiltless tricks! Aside from the pixie progress, I had a few more accomplishments and am looking forward to my session. Also, I hit DLO on my third try pretty easily.

Highlights:
-April being a fucking BOSS (not me, but I am proud)
-Magellan x2 then BSOS in same string
-Pixies out the anus (see above paragraph)
-Weak side Magellan mid string (New)
-A nice, controlled run with a slew of freshman walking by (feeling better in front of crowds)
-Clipper DLO (strong only, new)

Hey!
I sent this clip to Ianek with the hope of it being unusual bronze. It got rejected because I don't repeat any tricks on either side. I misunderstood and just put a few unusual concepts in a string utilizing my weak side, mostly. Now that I understand what the rules are, I should be able to get the bronze unusual at my next session.

I am pretty stoked on this string, though, since I like unusual tricks in general and wouldn't mind sharing a failure.

DISCLAIMER: This is a failed attempt at bronze due to not repeating any tricks on either side.

The last link is sick! Props.

My bronze unusual was supposed to be silver but I had a similar misunderstanding.
