Steves Footblog
Hello everyone!
I'm a new footbager from Illinois and I've been playing for around a year and a half.
I also stitch bags and lately have been getting quite serious with my shred progression.

Re: Steves Footblog
Yeah, I saw that post on Facebook the other day.. crazy you hit all those in one session! Huge props on all of that.
Fairy op Mirage = "Fear"
And awesome job on the drill. Keep doing stuff like that and you're on your way.

Dude, I can't hit that drill yet... that's very impressive! 8 guiltless contacts. Keep posting here, it's where all the cool kids are. Plus you can look back and see your progress, which seems to be happening at a lightning speed for you.

Thanks guys, i really wish i could have filmed some of it. Any of you guys have suggestions for a first five add? I dont wanna neglect the rest of the smaller stuff, just would be nice to say i have a five in my repitoir. I was testing out p.s. whirls today and might not be too far off, although i was thinking ducking p. s. mirages might be a little more doable right now.

Re: Steves Footblog
Just took a nice long shower after a three hour session outside today! I met a few random people who came up to kick with me and later my buddie Chris came to shred with me. I think he got pdx drifter bs today so props! I got fear bs and leggbeater bs, as well as learning atomic legover on accident ha. I think smear is quickly becoming one of my new favorite moves, i seem to be getting it more often than i should cause my pixies suck. Anyway im sore, but it was a great day!

You're gonna hate my answer, so I'll give you a smart answer and a dumb answer:
Smart Answer: Don't actively try to hit a 5. If no 5's feel EASY for you yet, then you're not ready and it's not worth it. A 5 ADD should not be forced. It can be done right now, judging by your game, but it's smarter to just work on solidifying what you already can do kind of well. Like your DLOs. They're awesome so far. My route, if I was in your Lavers, would be:
Practice my DLOs for a handful of sessions; Link it to every trick you know… Then, once you feel it's really consistent on both sides, you could teach yourself Pdx DLO. Then once you've practiced those enough that they are now really easy, you can put a Stepping set in front of the Pdx DLO and you have your first 5. It won't look sloppy, like almost everyone's first 5s, and it won't be crummy ADD Hunting. You'll have hit the trick and DESERVED to hit the trick, because you put a lot of practice into it's basic components. In fact, you'll probably hit the 5 ADD on both sides the same day, if you work both sides well enough with the DLOs and Pd DLOs. I challenge you to try this, and have your first 5 ADD be Fog. I can see you doing this, and I would give you huge props if your first 5 ADDs were Fog on bs.
Dumb Answer: Montage
Reasons why you shouldn't try to hit PS Whirl or Ducking PS Mirage as your first 5's:
1) It would probably be on one side, and that's lame
2) Those are obvious "ADD hunt" first 5's that any intermediate player can hit if they try hard enough
3) A well done Fog on bs is much cooler and more prop-worthy than PS Whirl or Ducking PS Mirage
You've been getting so much better recently. It's pretty incredible. I'm liking the new both sided tricks. When you hit a new trick, try to hit it a few times bs, to drill the muscle memory in just a bit before you move on to something else. Keep it up man, very promising stuff from you.

Re: Steves Footblog
Had a chilly session today. Got pixie op pickup bs and finally hit my first torques! The first one was absolutely steezey (im pretty sure it was a fluke lol) cause i stalled the osis perfectly and it went straight up to my hand and i was shocked. I then spent the next thirty minutes trying to hit it again. That trick is seriously frustrating, but i didnt stop till i hit it twice more. They werent nearly as clean but i got em nonetheless.

Re: Steves Footblog
Props on the Torques! Sick dude. Saw the new video, as well. You are doing well, just try to minimize motions, and STALL your tricks. Watch Nick Landes… Try to actually delay every trick and footbag will get a whole shit load easier.

Re: Steves Footblog
So lately ive been digging the drill rubberman. A few days ago I was watchin some of the psu weekly shred and saw Nathan Pipenburg doing a seemingly endless rubberman and I was hooked! Someone just posted a vid of rubberman to the facebook group and I was like I need to learn this drill. Normally stepping sets just didnt work for me and I just avoid them. But as soon as I started trying the beginning of the drill the blurs just somehow clicked for me (most likeley cause I learned smear) and I got both sides in nearly the same minute. After a while i was able to hit my strongside atom smasher out of a blur. It will be a few days before i can get the link on flipside cause my weakside atomsmashers suck, but i made sure to end the session with a flip atmsmshr. And in the midst of all these rubberman attempts i was just thinkin, hey why not try ripwalk? Boom they just clicked and got em bs, gonna try to get them back to back in a week or so. Oh and somehow i lost a bag, i think it was during an atmsmshr but i kicked the bag way too hard and it got lost in the darkness, hopefully i can find it in the daylight

Re: Steves Footblog
That's crazy that you nailed that link already. Took me years to get
Props man. Good shit on your end. I'm rooting for you with Rubberman. Also, huge props on learning stepping this soon. That took me a long time too. Just balance your basics practice with pushing your limit and you're golden.
Also, Stepping ss Clipper x3 bs. Trust me. It will help you learn to control.
