I'm not sure when I'll have time to spend that many hours at the computer editing. Get on Instagram though, lots of footbag players are on there, its so convenient to just snip 15 second clips together when I have 5 minutes.Derek wrote:Please release a more full length video

Re: Kyle Cook Footblog
Fall school semester started on Monday. I'm taking Calc I and Chemistry I. I've cut my work schedule back to 4 days a week so I should still have time to play three days a week and get my homework done. Played for about an hour an a half today. The battery on my phone was close to dead, but I managed to capture a couple of runs.

Awesome runs. I'm curious: is stepping a "low-energy" trick for you? You make it look effortless and I'd like to emulate that.

Re: Kyle Cook Footblog
Stepping has started to take less energy over time but I wouldn't call it effortless. The most helpful thing i've noticed lately with stepping is getting your dex foot back to the ground a quickly as possible so you can get to the next dex faster. other than that I would say drill stepping ss clipper.

Shred harder! I need more friends in BAP
Nice Tripwalks by the way, I wish mine could look like that. Seems consistent and effortless, but I guess that depends on the amount of tries it took you to get the combo.

It took several tries, but it seems the quantum's are turning out to be much easier and more consistent for me than atomic.
On an unrelated note. I was looking over some of my YouTube statistics last night when I realized that 87
-90% of the views I'd had were from a single video and then I remembered that was the only video I'd posted to reddit. My second most watched video was toe blur b2b, which I posted to fb and my footblog here; it reached 67 views. The video I posted to reddit wasn't even my best video and has 800 views. Reddit seems to be an under utilized marketing space. Today i'm posting a link to Joulu-Jupe 3.0 and tracking the view count to see how many it generates over the next few days.

Re: Kyle Cook Footblog
Had a pretty unreal session yesterday. after a nice long warm up I started working on flipside Blur and legbeater. I hit a few rubberman themed drills and combos. Blur>Legbeater>rpt. Blur>atomsmasher>legbeater. near mirage> legbeater>rpt, pdx mirage>atomsmahser. I should be comfortable and relaxed enough with them to hit rubberman through all 6 contacts sometime in the next month. I also hit stepping ducking clipper for the first time yesterday. I managed to Bsos it after only a few more tries. My stepping set is really starting to feel more controlled. Hitting it from osis and torque is hard but ripwalk is an easy one for me now.

Great highlights! Props dude!
Re: Kyle Cook Footblog
Thanks Asmus. Taking footbag seriously might be one of the best decisions i've ever made. Its certainly the most rewarding form of exercise, so much fun.

Footblog. second year
Spent the weekend at the lake of the ozarks with my family and Cory. Shredded for a few hours on Saturday. My legs were pretty sore so I didn't film.
Recent highlights
Went for quantum Whip, bailed to quantum whipping rake (new trick for me)
Quantum Whip BS
Torque>Ripwalk BSOS
Gravedigger (stepping near torque) second time hitting it.

Re: Kyle Cook Footblog
I'm pretty sure the worst part of my game is toe stalls. So i'm gonna have a tiltless toe training session next. Quantum is super easy for me, If i have a good toe stall to start out on. But hitting it from any variety of tricks is hard, pixie and atomic are similar. I also want to put a lot of work in on flipside rev whirl as well. In march I hit stepping Near Whip for the first time, it has become one of my favorite and most consistent compound tricks, but i'm not great at stepping out of it, and its much more unfamiliar feeling on flip, so i'd like to iron that out.

I watched two hours of footbag on the clock yesterday. I'm expecting another slow day today so I thought i'd leave this playlist here to be easily accessed later.

Re: Kyle Cook Footblog
As expected it was a slow day at work and they let me go a few hours early. This was good news since it meant time to go the gym before they close.
I often go to the gym and then can't convince myself to leave until i'm unable to walk, the footbag desire just burns too bright. So today I decided to ride my bike to the gym so that I would have to leave with at least enough strength to get home.
After the ~2 mile ride to the gym I ran a mile on the elliptical. This wasn't a normal mile. This was one of the best miles i've run in months. I continuously had to turn the resistance up in order to slow my legs down. It was one of the best exercise "highs" i've ever had.
After a few minutes of warming up with kicks and stalls I worked my way through the following drills 3-4 times
All Basic Legovers (butterflies instead of clipper)
All Basic Illusions (butterflies instead of clipper)
All Basic MIrages (butterflies instead of clipper)
All Basic Pickups (butterflies instead of clipper)
After warming those up I decided to get to work on Quantum. I'm not sure what all the combos were but I know I hit Legover, Illusion, Mirage and Pickup BS near and op (clipper and toe) into some quantum trick . I also hit Quantum near and op Legover, Illusion, Mirage, Pickup, Clipper, Butter, and Whip. The only combo I didn't get on both sides was toe near pickup>Quantum near whip (I managed the single trick on flip but not the combo).
Some of the other combos I had difficulty with but managed to hit once or twice bs were Toe set ss Illusion> Quantum near mirage and Pdx Mirage>Quantum near pickup
After drilling out all those Quantum combos I was pretty tired but hadn't really freestyled much. So I threw together a combo that didn't have quantum it in and bsos'd it before heading home.

I'll probably have another one of these Quantum based sessions later this week or this weekend; If anyone has any drills or BS combos they want to challenge me to that would be cool.

Thanks for alll those!
I'll stick with level one this time. My pixies are next on the list so level two will be a good challenge next month.

Day 2 of quantum drilling.
Shredding with Cory and an old friend of his that used to kick tomorrow. Should be dope.
