if u give the correct move name in ur post u'll probly get help a lot faster - I can't do fog. Perfecting ur blur would help though, if you haven't already.

Set high and jump sooner than you feel comfortable jumping.

Mentally keep the whole thing tight. Like, imagine your legs are very close together throughout the trick. Ignore the second dex. Don't think of the set as high, so much as fast. Get your set leg back to the floor as quick as possible. Focus on the first and third dexes, and the second dex will take care of itself.

Good luck.

Hmm, Fog's a really hard one for me, I only got it working at all about this time last year. Surely Ken know this trick MUCH better than I, but one thing that helps me is to build up a little momentum before trying it; the best things for me are a few ripwalks, like: ripwalk > ripwalk > ripwalk > Fog.

Those first few stepping sets seem to get me wound up and ready to spring into fog.

Good luck.

To hit any really hard move from a stepping set, you need a really FAST and EFFICIENT stepping set, wherein the dexing leg does not go any higher than it needs to to complete the dex AND it returns to the ground to push off for the next part of the trick without ANY delay. This will help you to hit the trick assuming, as you say, your pdx dlos are any good.

***To hit a better blurry set, for moves like blurry drifter or fog, try to turn your hips towards the bag about 5-10 degrees during the set. this will allow you to not lift your leg as high during the step because you will clear the bag laterally.

If you have a strong dlo and blur the problem is probably the last dex and your timing into the move. I would take a guess and say that you do your dlos fairly high up and early - which is great. I'd also guess that your mirage on a blur is fairly late and downtime. The key to fog and probably to all footbag moves is to be efficient - as soon as you've planted the stepping foot you need to be lifting it up again for the legover - it just bounces on the ground - basically start the third dex as soon as possible - and for that matter start the second as soon as possible as well - as Ken says - don't worry too much with the 2nd - the third dex is the money dex. Second dex should start when the bag is peaking - don't wait at all.

I think a good move to practice to help with the footwork would be stepping ss symple legover - this is essentially what fog is without the mirage.

With fog also make sure the bag is infront of you rather than under you so that the dexes are clean - high knee lift for the second dex. Keep the set straight up in the air and not too high. Make sure you end up facing the same direction at the end of the move as to the start. It takes time and practice :)

These guys gave you all the advice you need.

what works best for me is starting the second dex as fast as possible. it almost seems faster then you should be able too. but this gives you that extra bit of time to get over and seal it.

Set low and straight up. Don't set diagonally like you would blur.

Set like you would a paradox drifter.

Try to stand straight even though it seems harder.

Think only about the Toe stall at the end.

Lead into the fog with same toe stall, clipper, then Fog.
