Within 5 tries of both your comments I was getting the set up to my head. So I thank both of you greatly for these tips!!! The ones that helped me the most were:
1. The pixie foot should come back down directly beneath you - this kept my set straight and i wasn't lunging for it.
2. Your support leg should do 80% of the trick - I was giving it my all on the setting foot. Your making me put more energy into my support leg was huge in giving it more elevation.
3.Keep it on your toe for longer than you think - This delay I think was the single most crucial piece to the puzzle. It makes the set higher off the ground than most other sets but it seems to be the answer to my problem. The "magic hop" confused me but I get it when I coupled it with that toe delay. The 2 combined gives me that extra little burst I needed.
Again thank you both for the tips! Next up .. Pixie ducking double down (forget the name of it...) lol
