Sharp pain in bottom of foot

Post by slapdash21 » 07 Dec 2006 19:06

sometimes when i play for awhile i start getting a sharp pain in the bottom of my foot, especially when i play at all on my toes, which is pretty much all the time, unless im doing a...strong clip or an osis or stuff like that. feels like a pinched nerve or something, and i cant imagine what else it might be. usually fades somewhat temporarily if i massage it out, but oft returns within minutes of returning to play.

anyone else have experience? ideas what it is?

it sucks because i NEVER have any type of chronic pains from footbag aside from the occasional stiff knee.

i have those pains sometimes...
mine are following the bones in my big toe, but feels like a pinch/burning.

i usually just bounce on my tippy toes for a minute and it stops. but maybe it wouldve stopped anyways.

it dosent happen in my climas neither... only in gunits.

oh well.

I am currently recovering (I'm about 90% now) from a foot injury myself. I would experience pain in my foot when shredding and sometimes randomly throughout the day.

Go to a podiatrist (foot doctor). Mine found that I had essentially aggravated some small joints inside my feet. Since they are joints that are used all the time for walking and so forth, it takes a long time to heal. It's been about 3 months for me. He put me on an anti-inflammatory which was working to stop the pain. Now I'm at the point where I feel the pain less and less often, I've even had some totally pain-free sessions lately :)

My advice is go to a podiatrist. They specialize in feet. They are great. You may have to go to a GP to get a referral. Do it.

I too had experienced this after laughing behind Iron Clad Bens back about his foot pain. I thought it was funny, but like a week after that I started getting foot pain. It seemed like taking time off was helpful as long as you dont rush back into it. Avoid butterflies!

Lance Armstrong got ill to the point where he was coughing up blood before he went to the doctor and they told him he had cancer in 3 different places. The point I'm trying to make is, go see a doctor. You have nothing to lose. Don't try to play through it and just assume it will go away and not get worse. Obviously if you made a post about it on modified you are concerned about it to the point where you are seeking help. Don't try to be a tough guy, go see a podiatrist.

whoa whoa whoa there buddy. dont think im being a tough guy or anything, but i dont have anywhere near the care or money to go to a doctor, especially a specialist of any kind. it is still happening at least every other session, and does completely stop me from playing until i massage it out, but i can ignore most aches and pains. besides, so far hasnt happened in a couple sessions...maybe 2.

shrug. im still curious what it might be though.
