i happen to like the streets, but i've never seen them live, anyways my top three:

#1 Flaming Lips at 10,000 lakes music festival
best live show i've ever seen hands down, they are just so fun to watch, and they really get the crowd involved with all the crazy shenanigans going on while they're playing, amazing fun.

#2 Rage Against the Machine 2007 @ Alpine Valley(I think?) in wisconsin
i got into rage pretty heavy about 5 months before they broke up, and i thought i would never get to see them live. then i did and it was everything i was hoping it would be, they rocked that show so hard.

#3 Deftones @93x Nutcracker some years ago
one of my favorite modern bands, and they played with Thrice and Thursday, was just a amazingly awesome rock show.

I saw Cake once too during their unlimited sunshine tour, but the deftones show just stands out more.

edit:spelling!

I've been to hundreds of live shows over the years, in fact going to 2 this weekend, but nothing compares to:

CLUTCH

I've seen them probably 15 times. Nothing compares. For me there is no #2 or #3.

Bane themselves aren't so crazy live... it's more so the crowd interaction that makes their show unforgettable.

1. Machine Head- UNSW Roundhouse, Sydney 2004

They are my favourite band ever, and this was the first time I got to see them. I knew every word to every song, was right up front and centre, was so excited, got to meet them backstage afterwards.

2. Killswitch Engage- Metro, Sydney 2004

Show was with Anthrax, Soilwork and Embodiment 12:14. This was so goood.

3. Rage Against The Machine- Big Day Out Melbourne, 2008

The setlist for this was amazing. However, I was wayyy up the back. But still, it was Rage Against The Machine, it was awesome. Every song was just a classic rage track.

well, my friend went to a bane concert, and somebody almost died...

that alone tells me they are brutal...

and by the way, it was a venue about the size of a house. so the guy who almost died must have been beaten up. Badly.

3) Fall Out Boy- Huxley's in Berlin, March 24, 2007. It was cool to see them in a club, which you can't do in the USA. Plus, it was my 21st birthday present to myself while I was living in Spain.

2) Mindless Self Indulgence- Nation in Washington, DC, Summer 2006. High energy group and fans, plus they had all sorts of interesting on stage antics.

1) Panic! at the Disco- 930 Club in Washington, DC, June 27 2006. It was a great concert and a cabaret all in one. The stage performers were really awesome plus I love the band. It was right before they got really big, so it was still possible to see them in a club without tons of screaming teeny-boppers.

Omg, I forgot to mention MSI. I saw them at Projekt Revolution last year and they were amazing. I met the guitarist randomly walking after the show

I saw Ringworm back in '01. They opened for Shai Hulud and Hatebreed at the first Stillborn fest.... I think...

that would have been a great show.

I wish I had've seen Hatebreed when they toured Australia in '02. At one show apparently they played every song that they had ever recorded up to that point.

But I didn't go :(

Thanks for all your replies !

There are some incredible shows being mentioned and i wish i was at all of them. Especially Barrington Levy.

I'm also gonna mention some more highlights of my musical watching enjoyment.

I Mother Earth
They played for free in Hamilton about 6 - 8 years ago and put on such an energetic show that i have to mention them, I'm not even a huge fan and the show was spectacular.

MC Chris 2007
The comedic value alone puts him on the top of my list.

Buck 65 2003
Such an amaing artist and story teller. The show he played in Hamilton he brought two Vaudville actors to portray the songs live on stage whle he was singing them.

Poison The Well
So sick and so violent! It helped that i saw them with Death From Above and Alexis On Fire

Prince 2008 Coachella
He is a god! Prince Quote "i AM Jesus"

Clutch
'nuff said
Carlton Banks is in the building and about to throw down some serious sound!
