Name this Aphex Twin song

Post by vanderwax » 26 Feb 2005 13:47

I am huge AFX fan and i get my hands on most of his work. However, my friend had a mix cd with random AFX tracks and lost it. There was one song that I really liked and i cant figure out what its called or what album its on. It was a really mellow song and it started with what it sounds like a young girl saying 'stop making that big face!' then the mellow beats start.

If anyone could tell me what the track is they would be my favourite modified member.

AFX IS Aphex Twin. They're the same guy.

Aphex Twin, AFX, Polygon Window, Blue Calx, Power-Pill, GAK, Q-Chastic, Soit-P.P are all Richard D. James.

It's like Kool Keith calling himself black elvis from space or dr. doom, etc.

I don't know the name of the song, I just wanted to set Zach straight. Google is useful, but you can't just assume that a result means something it doesn't.

Zach is right. Stop making that big face is IZ-US off of the Come to Daddy EP.

Edit: I can share if you'd like

Thanks Ted!!! Such a good song... I found the whole album on soulseek too.

Thanks to you too Zach, I honestly had never heard of the internet before you told me about it in this thread. You should write a book or get a prize or something ;)

Joyrex too! :D

My favorite Richard D. James track is "A Complex Mathematical Equation". After that is "Bucephalus Bouncing Ball", and shortly following that is "Rhubarb." :)

I also have an Aphex Twin question...
I was watching a Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United soccer player) video complilation and at the end the credits named the song. They said: "Aphex Twin - O Forune (remix)." So I googled it but can't find a thing. Does anyone know if that track even exists?

Come to Daddy has the sweetest video! I also really dig the one with the asian girl who runs around some lab, or something...it reminds me of the Madonna Die Another Day video, which is also really sweet!
I also used Funny Little Man in a Shred Zero video...SICK!
Come on you funny little man. Come on. Come oooonnnnnnnnn.

the best afx video is this one where there are these homies trying to pick up these girls in their moms cutlass, but they get dissed for like 3 minutes befor the music even starts. is that the come to daddy video? Then like, a 34 window strech limo pulls up and it's AFX riding in the back. cue the music. then the ladies roll out with him and then there's like a flash and the girls now have exagerated AFX faces, and the homies try to chase them down, and eventually catch them up and get freaked out by the AFX girls. i have only seen it once, but man did it freak me out!! probably shouldn't have watched that while i was so messed up!

I like milkman... That song is sooo funny. If anyone checks out the site www.fat-pie.com theres a pretty funny video to that song...

Speaking of come to daddy, the dillinger escape plan does quite the amazing cover of that song.

That's the Windowlicker video, which actually has a different version of the track than is on the album (I think.)

The Come To Daddy video consists of.....well, see for yourself.

I think a few videos are there actually.
