Jeff Lopes comeback challenge

Post by Lopes18 » 26 Aug 2008 11:09

Trying to come back into the sport, my body is trying to break down again but I will not let it this time as I am older and wiser and will rest when needed and ice / physio when needed.

I want to improve:

Gyro set and moves
Learn barraging set both sides
Hit rubberman drill 3 times in a row
Improve my quantum set
improve my fairy set on flip

Want I want:

I want people to give me drills that will improve the following moves:

-barraging set
-eggbeaters
-rubberman, rubberman 2
-fairy
-avoid slurry set for stepping

Recent string after not touching footbag in 4 years:
-this is probably one of my best strings since coming back to give you an idea of where i am at.

Also looking for any drills to help my shuffle other than rubberman.

Cheers
Jeff L

stepping ss clipper X 10
be mindful of form and how much you travel. try to stay in the same place and set each one the same way to get rid of the slurry steps.

muted stepping ss clipper x 10

every thing both sides of course.

well, with stepping ss clips it's not true muted. with muted you don't plant your stepping leg, it remains in the air after the dex is done. usually done with tricks like pixie same leg over, where you don't touch your pixie leg to the ground betwen the step and the mirage. the thing about muted stepping clippers is that they really force you to change your legs. you can't pull the bag through like you can with regular stepping (that's what i find anyway).

Ahh, so I guess thats what he meant by trying to not slurry set, these probably help then.
