Challenge #1:

spell "challenge" right in the "challenges" subforum.

Challenge #2:

Learn to hop into ALL your basic delays (toe, inside, outside, clipper).

Listen for the sound of your support foot hitting the floor, and the sound of the bag hitting your foot. They should happen at the same time.

Once you've got that, let us know. then it's time to move to the next step.

Here are some good ones to get you started

 Legover > Mirage > RPT
 Legover > ATW-in > RPT
 30 alternating toe stalls
 Butterfly x 3
 Clipper x 10 both sides
 Clipper > Near Mirage > RPT
 Clipper > Pickup > RPT
 Butterfly > Mirage > Legover > RPT

Hey Radek!

I challenge you to the following:

 Mirage (Near Mirage, ss Mirage)
 Pickup (Near Pickup, Far Pickup)
 Legover (Near Legover, Far Legover)
 Illusion (Near Illusion, ss Illusion)
 Butterfly (Near Butterfly, ss Butterfly, Infinity)

everything on both sides.

I consciously stayed away from Paradox moves (Mirage, Illusion).
Get those things down on both sides, it will be a good foundation for the next level.
Remember the flipside and have fun =)

" Butterfly > Mirage > Legover > RPT"

repeat implies that you hit it with the other side in this instance, not repeat it on the same side.

So, did you hit it with the other side or the same side?

if you hit it with the same side, you have not completed this challenge yet.

Here are some more for ya:

 Clipper > Spinning Clipper BS
 Clipper > Osis > Mirage > RPT
 Legover > ATW > Mirage > RPT
 Legover x 2 > Pickup x2

There you go! The idea behind my challenges are to give you more balance
Make sure you do them all on your flipside too :)

My challenge for you is to break out of drills and hit 10 contacts unique.

From my personal experience drills, or challenges, are fundamental to building strength, speed, control, and most of all confidence. Watch any great player and you are sure to see one of their drills pop up in their strings. Remember that old blurry whirl > stepping same whirl > repeat thing that Vasek used to do a few years back? That made some people want to quit playing (points to self).

Back to my challenge. Think of all of the moves you can do. Now string them together in way that is technically possible and then make it physically possible. Work on playing footbag until you get tired, not until you hit something 10 times in a row, unless of course you are competing in the TEN event at GRASS 2009. (plugged!)

Anyway, like I said, drills are great but don't get yourself hung up on them. Spend some time just shredding mindlessly. Think only about keeping the bag up and moving and not about how many mirages you have done so far. Don't think, just play.

Enjoy yourself.

Clipper set op osis. You do the osis with the same leg you set from. Think about far lo and pickup and the way you do those.
