I went bowling this week for the first time in a while. We only bowled two games, but I posted some respectable scores.

Yea, that was me, although I'm not sure I live by Brett. I posted the newspaper article of me bowling the 299 to cap off an 812 series, the highest among NJ High School bowlers during sponsered play last year. (255 258 299).

I am still yet to get a 300, I came close last week, bowling a 287. Thats the first 10 strikes in a row, and then in the 11th frame I had a perfect shot that ended up being a pocket 7-10 split  . Ruined my day.

3 years later

Henry G, hows bowling going for you?

Anyway, the reason i bring this back is because i have been bowling a lot lately. i live really close to a 40 lane bowling alley now. cheap too.

I also just bought a new ball, custom to fit my fingers and everything.

its a 12lb Brunswick T-Zone

I think that image makes it look cheap but in real life the ball is soooooo sweeeet.

my score has been increasing a lot because this is the first time i have bowled in probably 2 years. I went 8 times so far and of course plan to go hundreds, especially during weekends. My most recent highscore is 149...pretty low. but i have been going up every time i play. my first game this year was a 105 i think. im really getting into the whole technique and everything. it's great.

Hahahaha I thought that was a hilarious post. Henry should be on the Denny's tour by now!

My high is 224, but my average is around 170. And my favorite pro bowler is Tommy Jones.

anyone wanna talk technique here?

any of you use cranker style, spinner, or stroker...or straight...like me

i should probably use stroking style, i think my average would increase significantly.

It's was actually about 3 years.

My high game is like 165, but I usually get 115-125.

My technique changes every frame. Sometimes it consists of hitting the back of my leg as I come through, ending up down on one knee, or my shoes getting stuck to the floor and doing some weird shimmy backwords.

My highest game is 124 which is really sad considering a couple of summers ago I bowled everyday. What is really impressive is my low score: an 8. It was a sad, sad day in my bowling career.

My highest game was a strike away from 300! I think I ended up with like 298 or 299.
