How small do you guys really need that thing? The ipod is small already, unless you're trying to fit it into places it shouldn't go (nose, butt, etc.)....

I think this is sick. The shuffle is lacking the screen and contorls that make the ipod great and this is just like an even smaller version of the ipod mini. I think it looks really nice.

I think ipods are like way overrated - there are plenty of better mp3 players out there that are not only technically better but cheaper too - apple have just spent way more advertising money and run a better ad campaign than anybody else.

And that's exactly why I bought one.

I want to sell my iPod mini now and get the nano!

Crazy, it looks like apple is gonna replace the ipod mini with the nano as its not in their ipod line up in certain parts of their site. I wonder if there will be good sales on ipod minis in the near future?

these things pose a huge security threat, and the smaller they get the more risk they are going to be.

with some light formatting an ipod can be a normal hard drive that can be hooked to any computer or server. 4 gigs isnt too much for music or videos but when its text files.. thats a lot. a secure server instantly becomes public info because someone was able to hide an ipod. a scary thought when someone walks away with all your credit card, bank, etc. info on your new favorite toy.

Everyone who says the iPod is all hype, doesn't own one. I never even wanted one until it showed up in the mail, as payment for some code I wrote. Now I couldn't imagine not having one.

There is no player on the market that presents such large volumes of music to the user in such an intuitive way. Browse by songs, artists, category, personal rankings, playlists, albums, on so on. Firewire transfer speeds, and an attractive package to boot.

I'll never forgive apple for the battery that the first player came with. I still bought a shuffle because I wanted music to shred with, and high volume. It fit the bill perfect as works as advertised.

This nano ipod is the bestest mp3 player ever, you could definately shred with this on the neck cord, or the arm band. It weighs less than 1 AA battery.

it plays stuff, and I get to have nifty little SD cards, which happen to go into my digital camera as well..... I win!

edit: minus the SD card that comes with it, I got it for $30 USD, And had a $20 rebate... hell yeah!

I'm poor, I can't afford one, but I want one SO bad I'm goin to circuit city today. If they have the black one, I'm buying it. School starts Monday, and payday comes Weds., so no books until then  I'll most likely overdraw my checking account, but I have a $400 overdraw limit. I just want to be able to shred anywhere with music...that is sooo convenient !
