Fixed Gear Bikes
Hey Jon, yeah I'm aware that the gorilla is similar to the EAI. The frame cost me 500 euros, plus 20 for the threading to the fork, it normally comes with a 1" threadless. I just like the look of a threaded headset and a quill stem We were discussing the similarities between the gorilla and EAI on a finnish fixed forum and we are pretty sure they are made at the same shop. Probably a subcontractor.

hah! crazy!
yeah, I seem to be getting a lot of coverage around the world these days, fun!
also, it's crazy that that guy had posted like.. most of my videos as they had come out and I never knew.
oh, and he wrote one thing about me that I WISH was true! he said that I am riding on profile hubs, not sure where he got that from but they are one of my sponsor hopes I've never heard back from.
Anyways, thanks for sharing!
(I wonder if I am more well known in the footbag world or the fixed gear world? )

thats mine. it's not fixed, but after reading the entire thread last night i gather it wouldn't take too much work to make it fixed, which when winter starts to break i'll look more seriously into doing. i also want to throw some different handlebars on as well, which i'll probally end up doing before fiddling with making it a true fixed.
love riding around on this thing, and i'm excited to make it a true fixed gear.

I'd bet that it has a flip-flop hub and that on the side of the hub you're not using there are a set of threads where a cog could be mounted.
If that is the case then all you have to do is put on a cog&lockring and then flip the wheel over to the other side and you're in business.
Oh, and get clips/straps!!!!
have fun!

Hey fixed gear enthusiasts. I am writing a paper about the emergence of fixies as a (more) popular bicycle choice over the last couple of years, and I need some data from people who ride them. I don't know anyone in my area who rides fixed, and I was hoping you guys would be able to help me out a bit by answering a few questions (Should take no longer than 15 mins).
I don't have to speak to anyone in person, but the professor did want us to be able to have a bit of an exchange (as in no questionnaires), so I was hoping that maybe it could be done over some kind of chat program (msn?).
I'd really appreciate it if a couple of you could help me out. PM me if that;s possible. Thanks in advance.

i beg to differ.
I got a pair of shimano spd pedals today and my friend is giving me his old shoes later today. both for free! i am stoked as i fucking hate clips and straps and am ready to flyyyy around town!
oh and i just got a Vittoria Zaffiro Pro for my back wheel
did i mention it is all white
i can't remember what else i came on here to say...
oh yeah, a good friend of mine's bike was destroyed by a garbage truck a couple months back. it was a jamis with mostly stock parts, nothing amazing, and he is about to get a $2,830 settlement out of it. talk about a MASSIVE shopping spree

My adviser got a huge settlement out of his stolen bike and was able to build an even better bike (he bought $1000 hubs :p). BTW those white tires look nice. Let us know if you ever switch back to clips and straps I ride all types of pedal retention but like clips and straps best for my townie/get around bike I stand by my enjoyment of formula hubs However when I go to build new wheels I probably will get a road hub for the front and a formula/phil/ or da for the back.
