For those who don't know, beatboxing is the act of making sounds with your mouth that mimic the sounds a DJ produces while mixing/scratching records (my own definition). Thus, I ask you:

Is Beatboxing a sport?
Is Beatboxing a game?
Is Beatboxing something else entirely?
My name: Jeremy Mirken, AKA Chocolatey Shatner, AKA jerk enemy rim.

I kick it with trunk chef elf and liz luck key my.

No, I don't think that beatboxing is a sport. It seems more like musical expression to me. Bobby McFerren (sp?) is not an athlete, but a musician.

Another style of music, once your skills get so high, it becomes an art form where the techniques heard by the average joe wouldn't understand. I wouldn't consider it a sport or game at all, it's completely musical.

i agree with hood. the fine line between sport, game, and artform is i guess just up to perception. like do you think cheerleading is a sport? what about chess? some people want chess in the olympics. i think beat boxing is just an art/music form, its not a sport.

thats the joke

yngwie is huge ego style and he lives in a castle. Hes not really that good but he is the best person to make jokes about.

Anyone heard of Shawn Lane? Apparently he couldve been like the best shredder ever but he didnt like shred so he went to like classical and indian and jazz stuff. He was a genius too.

edit Satriani isnt bad at repeating licks, I have a DVD of him
Ever seen victor wooten shred (bass) ? haha crazzy guy. Also does other shreddy stuff like harmonics

I think beatbox can be amazing musical expression, and can be improvised and stylized so easily because of the versatility of our vocal chords. So it's very competable. But, it's primarily musical.

I think it is obvious that beat box is a sport.
Well, maybe not obvious, but I think if competition to get the most stuff in yourmouth is a sport, then clearly
seeing who can get the best sounds out of the mouth is a sport too.
