vote for footbag on ZeD

Post by Flipsider » 17 Nov 2004 13:11

Hey homies. I've uploaded a few videos at ZeD, a really well-known Canadian TV show and online community. Looks like one of em got featured on the 'Performance > Stunts' page, so it would be real cool if all you guys go vote for it! I don't know if the voting really affects anything, but if they see that a bunch more people are watching and rating it, maybe they'll give it more exposure. Also, I'm going to try getting on their program, which airs nightly on CBC.

GO HERE. Just scroll down the page til you see "Footbag Video..."

EDIT1: You have to register to vote, but it's free and only takes 2 minutes.

EDIT2: In Retrospect - It's been the #1 video for 2 weeks and has been viewed 2000 times!

Thanks!

I don't think it's much work to register, login and then vote. If people aren't willing to do that much to help out footbag a little bit, then they need to take a step back and re-evaluate their devotion.

oh, I didn't know that all you had to do was sign up to vote, I thought you had to use a credit card or something... now I feel so stupid... I'll deffinatly sign up and vote though
EDIT: Aww, I think you have to be logged in to vote. Well, watch it anyways. Views help too.
This made me think, it was a hard thing to sign up for, and that we wouldn't be able too...

Naw, no credit card needed. Just fill out a quick form, and confirm your account via the e-mail they send you right after. Whole proccess took me a grand total of two minutes. It's not like this will make a HUGE impact on footbag, but I'm sure it helps. It would be nice to see that video aired on the T.V. show or something, if that's the thing that they do.

Thanks for the efforts. Yeah, signing up is easy; I just didn't want to force it on anyone.

Actually this is exactly what they do, except any music on a video must be cleared or they'll get sued, so this video in particular could not air.

If they wanted to air the video, would they re-edit it with your permission, or would they ask you for a version without music? Or would they just overlook it since they can't air the version you uploaded? Because I'd love to see that on T.V.

You need to click on "Watch Video" and in the pop-up media center there is a spot underneath the video to vote. There are five stars, click on how many stars you think it deserves.

Ok, I voted for 2 vids on there...

Now one has 9 votes, and the other has 1 vote... They're both on the 1st page now. :P

*speechless*
I just watched the "Robot Friends Episode 1" It was SO bad I had to vote it down.

I'm ashamed it had already gotten 2 '5' votes.

It appears there are 3 now, all on the first page.

There are probably more, that just are on pages 40+, but I didn't look past 5, so...

thanks to everyone who viewed/voted! It obviously had effect: the video is now ranked (edit) #1 in Performance! I guess now might be a good time to send them our press kit to get on as a live act.

[EDIT] I just noticed that since it's ranked #1 in Performance it also appears on the Home page. Woohoo!

And just so you Americans know, CBC is the Canadian equivalent to CBS/NBC/etc., only it's way better since it's Canadian. :P [/EDIT]
