Editors for the May 2006 online competitions - apply here.

Post by BalinorNZ » 13 May 2006 20:26

Hey everyone,

It's time to find some editors for the May 2006 online competitoins.

This time around i'll pick people a little differently.

I will need anyone who wishes to be an editor of the May online competitions to edit a 1min or so clip of whatever you like and send it to me (BalinorNZ@gmail.com). The aim of the clip is to show me that you are a competant editor. If there are more than 4 applicants then the best 4 clips will get to edit the online competitions for May!

You have 15 days from now, no applications will be accepted after 31st of May (this month).

I look forward to your responces :)

So do I, but honestly I haven't had a spare 3-4 hours to sit down and nut out fair results, it takes a lot of thinking and comparing of the judges results to get a ranking that is accurate.

I was going to mention that for the May competitions I will also be out-sourcing the judging completely, in other words I won't be doing it at all, someone else will be in charge of the end result.

I still intend to get the results up for March when I can. Sorry for the delay.

I dont understand why we dont just let modified judge like it was before. Put up those online ranking option polls and let us go at it like the good old days. Less work for you. No outsourcing necessary.
My name: Jeremy Mirken, AKA Chocolatey Shatner, AKA jerk enemy rim.

The reason is because you can only vote for one person in the poll, the winner, so the top few players will get a couple of votes, the obvious winner gets most of the votes, and everyone else remains with 0 and are unranked. One of the main purposes behind these competitions is to allow competitors to see how they stack up against other users on modified, you can't do that if the last 8 places all get last equal.

So the only guiltless sick 3 I can seem to hit by today are BOP permutations. Should I bother or just sit this one out? By my third round of novice comps I feel like I should be hitting something much better

You went from hitting a flukie hand set osis to hiting 3>3>3 in 6 months? That's pretty good.

I've been able to hit 5's for like a year and a half, but I still can't hit a 5>5>5.

Yeah I was being a whiny baby there. Sorry everyone.

My sick 3 is just BOPs, but they are very controlled and very and I think very smooth. I'm happy with them.
