My plan was to do them yesterday, but I got hit with crazy ear pain at 2am and spent the day in bed with an ear infection.

I've done one of the events, it took 2.5hours editing, so I need to find another 7.5 hours of time to do the other 3. I have a 25% assignment due this friday and then back to back assignments every week for the next month as well as other editing projects, so this will be a little messy.

I will endevour to finish editing by the 10th.

What? I'm not sure what you're trying to get at with that post, but maybe you should give Nic a bit of respect, he's doing it for you guys in a very busy and important time of his life, geez.

People complaining about the comps not being ready yet = VERY Uncool.

Crap like "Drop out of school and edit our competitions for us" = EXTREMELY Uncool

Nic is a very busy guy who out of the goodness of his own heart sets up and coordinates these competitions. In the past we've tried to have other people on modified help out with the editing to make it go faster, but there are always flub ups that caused it to take longer. So if you guys want to learn video editing AND do it professionally and ON TIME, be my guest.

I see a lot of people complaining, few taking ACTION. If you can do it better yourself, go ahead. Until then, be patient and be grateful.

Nic thank you for all the work that you do on these competitions. I appreciate it a great deal and I look forward to seeing them when they come out. The anticipation is fun for me.

Did you take that seriously?

I know Nic's busy, and I'm just having a bit of fun. Sorry if I made anyone mad.

I'll go put in a smiley or something! :D

Zac, sorry did not mean to single you out there, I figured you were probably joking.

Still, it would be cool to see more "Nic Rules!" and "You da man Nic!" replies to this topic as he goes off into seclusion for a week busting his ass to put together the videos. The negativity, even if only in jest was really giving me a rash, and I'm sure it didn't make Nic happy either.

I hope u guyz didn't think I was trying to dog nic. I hold nic at level beyond my own when it comes to footbag. If you guyz thought I was being a ...well...dick then your all wrong. I was mearly posting (in my comical way) a suggestion on how to look at the task ahead.

nic, If you thought my post was in any way disrespectful please let me know.

If it wasn't for nic starting these comps then my motivation to play footbag and better myself would be shot. I don't have any other freesytlers located within my home range. Just those who are apart of Footy Footbags Club, my family. And although i'm not shooting them down, I am a more skilled player than they are. So yall see, if i'm the best here, then I have to expand myself to reach out to touch the footbag community so I can learn more and teach more. These comps give me the biggest motivation there could be. I'm not saying that if the comps stopped i'd stop, I would have to readjust my outlets and inlets. And with nic doing such a superb job I don't want to do that. Change sucks. but hey. Point is : NIC, YOU KICK FOOTBAG ASS DUDE!!! keep it up and take your time. My first post was meant to say... Don't make excuses for people just do what you need to when you can, and we'll all wait for you. It's your show. !!

love footbag guyz. -FootyMatt

Of course I was joking. I hardly ever make serious posts. :P

And from a post on August 30th, by me:

Thanks for being cool Nic.

That's cool footymatt. To be honest I didn't understand the post at all, really ;) Although the comment on excuses sounded like you were bitching, so I'm glad you weren't :)

I'm quite anticipating this one. Sounds like plenty of entries were thrown down, so I'm super stoked!

GO NIC.

Update:

Novice sick 1 - complete.
Novice sick 3 - rendering now.

Novice sick3 only took me 2 hours and it was quite a bit longer than sick1 :). I'm finding it hard to find time when I go to uni at 9am and get home around 11pm :( - the next free time I have is sunday afternoon so I will complete the competitions then.

It's 1am and I have class at 9am... good night modified ;)

All competitions will be released together.

The judging of the online competitions has been taken over by Max Boucoiran. I believe he has a team of judges that will judge the competitions soon after they are released.
