I'm flattered but I'd more or less have to agree with Jeremy on this one. I deem at least 5 or 6 of the entries that ranked below mine 12587 x harder (not that vertigo is easy).

But yeah, opinions...

I tried for a LONNNNNGGGG time to get dyno at the end, but no go.

Thanks for placing me so high in both rankings though. :) I agree that Conrad and the like shouldn't be in novice.

Don't worry about them bro, I liked your ranking.

At the end of the day, what they think isn't effecting anyone because the didn't take the time to even post their own rankings - you have affected other's opinions by posting yours, even if some people don't like it.

I hope to see some rankings from you in the future.

First off, great entries for the open level, and the novice level is getting increasingly tough itself. I'm kinda surprised that the frame rates I sent in for myself and Richy are so murdered however, I thought they were well rendered when I uploaded them, what happened Nic?

My ranking of open:

Sick 1:

1. David Clavens: High Plains Drifter Swirl (Yeahhhhuuuup)
2. Phil Morrison: Flurricane (How is this move being hit so much???)
3. Jamieson Hickingbotham: Atomic Grifter (So hard...)
4. Kevin Crowley: Gangsta Party
5. Aaron Orton: Alpine Blurry Whirling Rake
6. Johnny Murphy:Twinspinning Mirage (Only because it was executed mid run)
7. Jeremy O'Wheel: Bat Boat (I had to watch it like 9X to see wtf)
8. Nic Bathgate: Predator (Well done)
9. Toby Suggate: Mullet
10. Wim Van Verre: Vertigo
11. Josh Munstermann: Atomic Weaving Butterfly (Stylie)
12. Cody Rushing: Pixie Symp Whirl (Difficult, but not in shoes?)
13. Brian Dennis: Fairy ss Eggbeater
14. Aleksei Zikin: Matador
15. Zeb Jackson: GYBAS
16. Ben Rea: Ducking Rev. Whirl

Sick 3:
1. Phil Morrison: Venom > Food Processor > Mullet (Super Felix Beast)
2. Richard Abshire: Locomotion > Barroque > Spanishfly (It was even better in person)
3. Nic Bathgate: Glaucoma > Fairy Ducking Clip > Spinning Whirl
4. Toby Suggate: Dimwalk > Pdx Whirl > Torquescrew (Screwed into fourth)
5. Jeremy Masselis: Crispy Torque > Pdx Drifter > Whirling Swirl
6. Conrad Rustad: Smog > Dimwalk > Blurry Whirl
7. Fletcher Funk: Blur > Legbeater > Pdx DLO
8. Wim Van Verre: Spinning Mirage > Legbeater > Pdx Whirl
9. Josh Munstermann: Blur > Legbeater > Ripwalk
10. Julien Romiti: Parkwalk > Dyno > Torque

Last place in open is better than first in Novice ;) props.

Aaron, about the frame rate of your entrys, sorry about that - I converted all the entrys that were not in wmv or another compatible format with one program, one program is never going to be able to give me the best results given any video, it looks like it decided the frame rate was half what you gave me and converted it like that.
If I had more time I would have tried an alternative conversion, but I didn't.
I will include in the entry specifications a request for WMV formatted entrys if possible.

Congratulations to all the players, you all did really really well!

Also thanks to all the feedback that is coming in! It's really a pleasure to read it :)

Well, after watching the videos many times, I now come with my results so there it goes :

Novice Sick 1 :

1- Conrad : Pigbeater : definitely a hard trick and really well done, would like to do that
2- Pete : Mobius : Real nice, nice torque
3- Jeremy : Vortex : Really nice too
4- Julien : Pdx Torque : Nice tricks, but would have been better cleaner
5- Zac : Phoenix : Even if you said pixie is a little thin I think it's okay, good job
6- Mathieu : Double-Over Down : hard to rank myself, but I think it was clean
7- Roy : Pixie Eclipse : Really nice and original tricks
8- Ben : Ripwalk : Nice tricks, clean
9- Erik : Ducking Butterfly : nicely done
10- Cody : Spinning Butterfly : nice
11- Ron : Smear : pixie is reallyyy thin, but good job
12- Matt : Pixie legover : have lot of works to do on your pixie, was not really a pixie
13- Samantha : Outside set mirage : original and clean, good job
14- Colin : Pick-up : good job, nice start!

It's sad I haven't been able to submit sick 3 on time, I'll do it for next comp! I will probably try to rank them later too. Good job to everyone and special thanks to Nic !

As far as I see this applies to your opinion as well as mine and others'. No one's opinion can be 'the true one'. But zeroman I do feel some people's reactions to your ranking were a little blunt.

Sorry about that Zeroman. I just wrote what first came to mind. Because, like everyone, i had an opinion. And it was that some, NOT ALL of your rankings were funny. Actually not the rankings in particular, just some of the comments seemed... robotic

Since opinion is seems to be the keyword of this thread...

here is my opinion for novice:

1. Pete Bowler:Mobius - novice my ass
2. Jeremy: Vortex - Perfect form!!
3. Conrad: Pigbeater - 2nd dex was fairly thin
4. Julien: Pdx. Torque - pulled osis, but nice pivot
5. Zac: Phoenix - Pixie might have been a little thin.
6. Roy: Pixie Eclipse - Is this guy an ultimate fighter or something? He's huge. Great execution.
7. Cody: Spinning Butterfly - you have soo much time to spot the bag after your spin. that's great!
8. Ben: Ripwalk - I like your long delay to start the trick
9. Erik: Toe Ducking Butterfly - very nice
10. Matt: PLO - put above ron and mathieu b/c of cleanliness. nice job matt, not quite a set, but still a cool double dex trick
11. Ron: Smear - both dexes appeared thin
12. Mathieu: DOD -Push your dexing leg a little bit further down and this trick will be super clean and too easy for you.
13. Sam: Outside set Mirage - Isn't this technically outside set pixie? great execution
14. Colin: Near Pickup - Looked too easy

Novice Sick 3 (I love kicking to this song):

1. Zeb: Ripwalk>Rev Whirl>Ducking Osis - Both sides=good
2. Brian Dennis:Fairy Legover>Eggbeater>Paradon - fairy and 2nd paradon dex were thin
3. Zac: Smear>Pixie Whirl>Osis - If you would have gotten that dyno, I would have placed you higher
4. Ben Rea: Dimwalk>Diving Clipper>Rev Whirl - Dive could have been deeper, but it was there
5. Cody Carter: Stepping Far Legover>Mirage>Double Legover - been drilling that mirage dex?
6. Sebastian Bazan: Pixie Legover>Butterfly>Pdx Mirage - placed higher than roy cause he mixed it up
7. Roy Newman: Double Legover>Double Legover>Double Legover - I saw the video that this was from, and there could have been more diverse sick 3s taken. great execution though.
8. Erik Savage: Symple Butter>SS Butter>Bubba - STYLEE!!
9. Luis Lipchak: Butterfly>Osis>Pdx Mirage - Repeat that, and you have one of the most helpful footbag drills ever
10. Matt Hennemuth: Pixie>Mirage>Butter - Heck yeah!
11. Denton Louis: SS Mirage>Legover>ATW - Nice work. Don't forget about those right leg dexes though

p.s. I don't understand these comments about people's crappy cameras. get over it. comment on the trick itself, not how pixelated it is.

I said his camera was crappy because I shred with him every Tuesday and it's fun to screw with him. :P

At first I thought you just copy-pasted my rankings, lol. Then I noticed the mixing of 1 and 3 and such.

Open Sick 1:

1. David Clavens -- clean, hard trick
2. Phil Morrison -- well done, could be deeper
3. Aaron Orton -- perfect! straightforward elements though (but lots of them!)
4. Johnny Murphy-- very smooth, very clean, but still room for even more components
5. Jamieson Hickingbotham -- yeah! clean; only a few elements but a difficult downtime component
6. Nic Bathgate -- nice execution; a good triple
7. Kevin Crowley -- hard trick, fairly clean but poor, off-balance seal
8. Jeremy O'Wheel -- clean, somewhat creative, but not overly difficult. anyone with good sailing and 10 minutes of spare time could land this.
9. Wim Van Guerre -- sweet! solid 5 add, good form. set was a bit high
10. Cody Rushing -- perfect, plus barefoot is even better. not enough elements/risk-taking to rank high in this competition though
11. Josh Munstermann -- cool 5; clean, but try following through on the butterfly set
12. Brian Dennis -- unique trick that utilizes both sides; fairy set was rather thin
13. Zeb Jackson -- well done, but an easy 5 add move
14. Aleksei Zhin -- good nuclear; blurry camera; poor form on ending butterfly
15. Toby Suggate -- good trick, but NO hand catch! Incomplete trick imo
16. Ben Rea -- too few elements to rank high. reverse whirl was thin. Skool your basics!!

Open Sick 3:

1. Richard Abshire
An easy choice. Very clean overall and impressive/unique links! Props.
2. Phil Morrison
Smooth and efficient execution and high overall difficulty. Surging set wasn't there though.

....

The other combos I'm having a hard time remembering. Nic's and Toby's were both nice.

Let this be a good lesson -- first impressions are everything! Set yourself apart -- choose rare elements and concepts with unconventional links. Have a decent level of cleanliness and you'll do very well in the Open Sick 3.

Novice Sick 1 and Sick 3: Perfect your form, skool your basics and step it up.

just wait guys, next comp is going to be hot! I've got a few more tricks in my bag o stuff and maybe I'll be able to hit something that's much much much better than what I've been doing.

As far as stepping it up, I can't do stepping sets yet! ha ha ha! For real, I've been working on it (just not as much as I'd like to) and I've already got some clean moves on vids for my next sick1 (unless I hit something better). Oh and BTW guys, my pixe-legover was not the trick I wanted to submit. I had to submit it cause I couldn't hit anything harder/cleaner in time for the cut off. I know the pixie set sucked and the second dex was starting before my setting leg touched the ground but that was the third or fouth time I had hit that trick.

Question: In all yalls OPINION (which I accept without going crazy on ya) What is really wrong with my pixies? Am I not turning my foot to the inside enough?
