Thanks, Lon. 4 square's the greatest thing in footbag since the creation of feet. Uh, you know what I mean. I can't wait to try some of Ken's rules.

Please post more ideas!

i was talking to justin dale a while ago about foursquare and he had a way of playing that sounded fun. with his way spikes and low kicks were alowed as long as they were getable. i think there was more to it than that but that's all i can remember(it was a month or two ago) i have yet to play a game like this but he said that it can be very fun and you can get some crazy rallies going. it seems like it would be more competative and fast paced that way.

Here are the funnest rules I remember using:
- spikes on
- flying kicks only
- start singing a song when you pass the bag, stop singing if you contact the bag again, and repeat if you get it again.
- say a colour/movie/fruit/flavour etc. when you pass
- pirates, and then switching eyes
- spin after you pass
- combos: spins/fliers, pirate/flier, spinning pirates, spikes/spins. etc
- toes only

I can't wait to use language ones, like no swearing and stuff. I am inspired by this thread!

I can't even get passed the first square with this rule on. What's worse is that I forget and get caught swearing again and again and again. I don't know what my fucking problem is. :D

EDIT: this is usually why I propose it as a point deduction rather than an out, I can get out of a negative score as long as I get to the king square

Any body have any good trippy serves to share? I know it would be kinda hard to describe certain ones but we could try. I'll show you mine if you show me yours...

Played this weekend at GRASS with Kolo, Aric, and Chris B. It was a blast. Kolo is such a fun guy to play with cuz he really gets into it. Haha he totally shoved me when I got outside my square. I still recovered though! 10 years of hackysackysackysack baby!

Kool KoLo! Yeah, he and Mathieu totaly dismantled me at Chicago's NYJ, I learned so much from them though. Great to play with and just as much fun to hang out with too!

I saw Kolo shove Jeremy Mirken while running out for a save, Jeremy had the biggest 'WTF?' expression on his face that any human is legaly allowed to have. It was akward at first because no one was used to that style of play. All in good fun though.

i found a concrete 4s court at a grade school(1st-5th) playground last week near my apt. i ride by there on my bike like three times a week and i wanna play on that court soooo bad. i rode by yesterday on my bicycle and we saw some girls playing with a big red ball. one of the girls was out and i pointed and yelled "yer out!". we all laughed. so i asked em if i could play and they responded yes but "only if i played with no shirt". 8O the teacher (watching from afar) yelled at the girls and told em "to behave". hahaha eewwweyyyy im 30!

Shorty man you missed it, we played 4-square in Houston on April Fool's day like an hour after you left. We had some crazy rules going, it was a good time.

I'm trying to remember... spikes were legal from 3ft out of bounds or farther. We had some words you couldn't say... Jesse do you remember?
