Modified Moderator Hall of Fame

Post by full nelson » 10 Aug 2009 06:16

Hello All,

I am here to propose recognition of the greats in moderation, the Modified Moderator Hall of Fame.

First, I nominate myself for banning people regularly without all this "discussion and fairness" and for creating a hidden forum for myself. Second, I nominate Rob Fuller for starting Modified and shutting it down in a temper tantrum. Third, I nominate Brad Kaplan for erasing 2 years of Modified history. Fourth, I nominate Sam Colclough; he was never a admin, but he banned himself multiple times. Fifth, I nominate Bob Glasser. And last but not least, I nominate the entire, current staff of Modified for all their inaction.

Congratulations to all those nominated. Please feel free to contribute others for consideration. I will keep this thread securely backed up in case future administrators wish to live up to the high standard set by Sir Kaplan.
Brad

I nominate Jeremy and Matt for this honor, for consistently showing everyone that personal views DO get in the way of fair moderation.

who have you banned?

I'd nominate Mike Hansen, except that would be a sincere nomination, and I'm not sure if that would fit in here ;)

I'm honored for the nomination as some sort of... what... honorary moderator?

Second.

As way of example, Jeremy lets his juvenile feud with me mean his 3 year old niece doesn't know he exists.

Here's a teaser of what he's been missing:

I guess winning arguments is more important.

God, the last thing i'm gonna do is sift through 9000+ posts of yours to find an example. Besides, this is in good fun. more of a mod roast.

I would like to nominate Jer. For liking the forum enough to pay for it, but not enough to read it.

I concur with Mike Hanson's nomination because he has broken Jer's record for consecutive days off the job.

To further my qualifacations, I once had to ban a user 4 times because I only knew how to ban names and not IPs.

I nominate Brad. We've had our differences but you always atleast tried to use your best judgement on every matter. Cool-tempered and even keeled (Whatever the fuck keeled means) I vote Brad for dungeon master.

That is a really cute kid.

On topic: Brad Kaplan was the best moderator these forums ever had. He was fair, even-keeled, and acted quickly.

Also shout out to Mike Hansen for keeping these things running smoothly, backing up the forums, adding features, and keeping things relatively secure.
